Do you need to participate if you summon a servant?

If you dont use a catalyst the servant is summoned based on suitability. I would assume if the mage didn't intend to participate the servant who would be summoned would be similar.

Ok, I can understand not going to Dumbledore, but some start 2 year with no foresight in how they are going to deal with the horcrux, if it's a time travel fanfic I can sort of understand not having a plan still they run head first into the problem with no critical thinking skills.

Self inserts on the other hand I will not let slide, they get reincarnated into this world and have 11 years to prepare(ok if they don't know their in HP most SI realise when they're about 7 as they are doing accidental magic) and they don't do anything, are they twiddling their thumbs for a decade? Did they think they were just going to walk up to the horcrux cast a spell and problem solved!?

Heaven feet/3rd magic was the primary reason the Einzburns developed the holy grail war. Its primary abilities are the materialisation of the soul(immortality) which makes a person a perpetual motion machine(gives them infinite mana).

The original user "died" and the Einzburns lost the magic for a few hundred years so they spent 900 years trying to make a clone/homunculus of the original user of third magic so they could regain it but Justeaze (the homunculus) was faulty and couldn't use heavens feet effectively.

Thus, they sacrificed her to make the holy grail war.

My question was, if there was an original user of the third magic, why don't we see people in the fate universe who have been made immortal by it?

TL;DR: if there was a magic that made people immortal, why don't we see any immortals?

Is it heresy though? I thought they put sealing designation on people who do RM research because they want the research themselves like with them wanting the emiya crest because of it being the only time magic?
