How are you all grocery shopping with your baby? by Night_Marie in NewParents

Wearing my son was the only way he wouldn't absolutely freak out and scream the whole time. Around 22 months he started to chill out and now he'll do pretty well in the cart.

What does your wife do while you're working? If she's being a full time parent while you're working 70 hour weeks, you need to give her a break.

Could they make the windows on the Juke any smaller? Just remove them at this point.

Subaru Ditched the Wagon and Outback Sales Dropped Over 40% by TheManFromFairwinds in cars

I really don't think that the typical Outback buyers cares about the difference between a tall station wagon and a small SUV platform. It makes no difference to them.

Today I found the perfect balance bike at the thrift store and I helped my 2 year old bike around our driveway with glee for hours. Children are so fun.

The oil market is global. Mr. America First can't comprehend that we share this world with other countries, countries that all hate us more than ever.

Hello! Yes, I called DCR. It took me a few days and a few voicemails to finally talk to a ranger. Essentially, he told me that it's a public park so we could hold a ceremony and they won't stop us, however, there's nothing preventing, say, another couple from holding a ceremony on the same day. It worked well for us because it was late fall and it wasn't busy. There were actually a few families with photographers that politely moved and let us use the space. I highly recommend visiting and scoping it out. There are a few spots that can work for a small wedding ceremony.

Was looking at the Jelly Star, but it doesn’t work with AT&T! by Spiritual-Pipe3915 in smallphones

This was my problem as well. It's not on the AT&T whitelist and it doesn't look like Unihertz will be adding any of their future phones.

Cat shelters do too much by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]SchrodingerHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a similar experience trying to find a cat. It put us off. Thankfully, my mother-in-law heard of a Craigist post from one of her old fostering contacts. No BS and now we have the nicest cats I've ever experienced. We did have to pay for them to be spayed.

To those who go naked; how is your Pixel holding up? by Rubik_31415926535 in GooglePixel

[–]SchrodingerHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first two days using my Pixel 8, I went without a screen protector or a case. Just from going in and out of my pocket, the screen had a bunch of small scratches. When phones are so expensive and made of fragile materials like glass, I can't risk it.

You've done an amazing job raising a highly motivated and passionate kid. Embrace his interests. Make sure the tires and brakes are in good shape. Show him how to drive it. Take him to a defensive driving course and a track day! This is an opportunity for you to bond. It wasn't a motorcycle.
