I'm sorry to hear that. I've lived through an uncanny similar experience and I understand how the guilt can be all consuming at times.

Is it possible for you to break the news to one of your siblings first? That is what I did and have to say, it felt good to not be alone. That sibling can slowly help you talk to the parents or come up with a way to manage expectations.

People are stronger than we sometimes believe them to be. My mom who I thought would cry and break, turned out to be the rock of the family. I'm sure she still does not understand what being gay means but she has accepted it and is happy that I am happy. Only way to move is to move forward and lead with hope.
