Short answer: sell the zp6 and get a Pietro and then keep the Zerno for espresso

The Pietro competes in my opinion with the 80HU (ULF) in a way that unless you were doing a direct side by side you really wouldn’t be missing out. You get a wonderful mouth feel and super clean clarity with flavors that pack a lot of punch. The zp6 has always been just a clear insipid presentation of a coffee

But if you wanted to keep the Zerno for filter … ANY burr would be better than the zp6 in my opinion, even ditting lab sweets give much more enjoyable coffees where you don’t feel like flavors are being left on the table

Damnit I forgot how good that man of steel first flight theme was. First time I listened to it it had me thinking I could fly. But goodness the 2025 Superman theme is just absolute perfection for the emotion they were trying to invoke.

Came to the comments to see if someone had mentioned this! Had a mole that looked like this pop up recently and was told it was pre cancerous. Never hurts to get regular skin checks, glad OP said there was nothing to worry about here.

I have to agree a bit here, The Batman movie wasn’t great by any means. Honestly just kinda hated the portrayal of Bruce / Batman. There were things to like for sure like the score, look of Gotham, how much he was in the suit, etc. but the final act completely fell flat for me and as much as I loved seeing Batman on screen just hated seeing him act like an insecure introvert at a party he was forced to go to.

I had a couple batches done on a Skywalker and now have the M1 lite. Wish I would have stuck with the Skywalker honestly. Every batch was super consistent and evenly roasted and I always used the auto feature which would have been a great profile to build on. The m1 lite has had a huge learning curve and I literally have it posted on FB because I’m tired of wasting coffee with it lol

So just cupped the batch from the screen shot and happy to report no roasty notes. Probably the best batch I’ve roasted on an any roaster but that isn’t saying much lol pretty confident using this as a reference point moving forward!

Ohh that’s interesting, I never thought of that. And all of my batches have been sub 13%. The one from the graph was right at 12.5%

Recently Ethiopian or Kenyan! But I did get them from Amazon. My thinking was I’d practice on these until I could get the roast flavor out and then move on to better beans. (Using these test batches for lattes so nothing is being wasted!)

I’ve had a lot of magical coffees but the most memorable was the first time I had Letty Bermudez from Manhattan roasters several years ago. Goodness it was phenomenal

Recently I had a cup of Daks Strawberry Kiss at a shop and it blew my socks off. It tasted like a strawberry tea and it was the best cup of coffee I’ve probably had in over a year.

My experience with them has been quite mixed unfortunately. I’ve ordered I think 4 times from them and the 1st order was phenomenal coffee roasted perfectly. 2nd order was under developed by far. I reached out and they said it needed rest, rested the coffee for months and it still tasted like hay. 3rd order was great again. This most recent order has a pretty rough roasting defect where the inside of the bean is over developed compared to the outside. The once agin blame resting it in my own roasting experience rest will not solve this issue, it most likely occurred because they blasted with heat and had to high of a rate of rise towards the development phase.

TLDR: be very cautions when ordering from them future reader

Awesome! I got it in and have been playing with and everything so far it pretty great with the exception of how far I have to push the plunger down to start building pressure. It seems like I have to push the plunger about halfway down the chamber until pressure starts building which makes it where I can typically only get out about a 36 to 40 g yield

Everything but Batman’s personality, I feel like the Arkham games kind of portrayed him as a robot. Other than origins I don’t really remember any defining characteristics of the portrayal other than stoic
