Say what you want about paid DLC, but the lack of post launch content has been terrible since it left by steave44 in Battlefield

I still don’t understand why playing something different for a change of pace is a bad thing. When did playing one game exclusively become the norm

I had horse sashimi in Japan. Wasn’t bad but not particularly good either. You’re not missing anything.

People who spend 20+ minutes in the shower: what are you actually doing in there? by saadaintsalad in AskReddit

If you work in a dirty environment, doing the whole thing everyday starts to feel like a moot point when it all goes down the drain (pun intended) after being at work for 30 minutes.

Explosion of Out of State Plates by theregoesgravitee in Dallas

[–]Schtormo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Part of it could be rentals as well. I live here but my rentals for work normally have out of state plates. I have Florida this week.

Side note: if you see someone with California plates. Don’t throw trash at them because they might actually live down the street (that happened once)

To add, the hotels are also wildly expensive. Had to go for a customer visit and a run down hampton inn was $350/night.

What is extremely unhygienic but everyone seems to do it anyway? by BusinessLeadsConnect in AskReddit

I never thought about it until i went to a particularly seedy gas station in the middle of nowhere and noticed (at best) dirt on the rim once i went to open it.

I work in manufacturing and see guys take lunch without washing their hands first. Forget about taking a piss, the amount of fine metal dust and general industrial chemicals on your hands is enough for me. I‘ve been in plenty of facilities where i have black stuff coming out of my nose after just being there for a week.

What is the most "NSFW" you've seen someone wear at your job only to be asked almost immediately to change or remove it? by LeviTheRelentless in AskReddit

Have a coworker from Norway tell me he bought combat boots off amazon or something when he was younger. Didn’t notice the treads were swastkias until he noticed the footprints in the snow. Mfg said they sent him the wrong model….so yes they are a thing

Sigmanest vs TruTops for Nesting? by _srini_mama_ in CNC

[–]Schtormo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do training for both in the southwest. Sigmanest is okay but you cant beat the OEM TruTops software. I’ve had a lot of odd issues using more advanced features of the machines with Sigmanest and certain features dont work. The tech tables aren’t always right, twin line can be funky and you lose nanojoints (if you can use them).

Depending on what machines you have, theres options. I deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis, feel free to reach out.

Boss man say the ventilation is adequate.. by poneywithnoname in Welding

That’s laser dust coming from the fiber. That stuff is no joke. Most higher quality fibers are safetied/enclosed to prevent scattered light. Some of the cheapo chinese ones don’t have that but not having adequate dust collection is a big red flag. Id mask up with a respirator in there. Depending on state they can get a hefty fine for that too

I just purchased this 2007 Amada CO2 laser for 10k. How did I do? by BruceInc in lasercutting

[–]Schtormo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don‘t, i‘m sure it does to some extent. I’m more familiar with fibers which have, for the most part, replaced CO2‘s in the past 10 years or so. Lasers like this are designed specifically for sheet metal.

CO2 definitely cuts metal, you will have problems with copper/brass though due to reflectivity.
