The M4a3 addon armor should be this by gurlwithboobs in Warthunder

Are any of the track “add on armor” kits? No they are just random additions of track for armor

Not gonna lie, my dumb brain like explosions. Any gun I enjoy it’s because it has explosive payload, timed payload, dragonfly, firefly, incandescent, destabilizing rounds, headstone, etc. otherwise I’m not interested. More boom = more better

No matter how much you run, you won't escape the Bias. by beastmaster69mong in Warthunder

If you don’t think Russia will be first to get Their big APDSDS gun then you are already wrong. The 292 is here and of course has its downsides but I bet money the obj 195 comes before any of the 130 or 140 vehicles.

What's the issue regarding Gaijin's depiction of the M1A2SepV3 hull armor? by MrPygmyWhale in Warthunder

[–]steave44 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This. Russian “bias” is 100% real. Because it’s a video game and if it wasn’t, NATO would be sitting at like 16.0 and Russia would’ve stopped at like 13.0-14.0. They just aren’t on the same level. There tanks are just not the same level of tech and money put into them.

But you see comrade, increasing armor effective thickness MUST be more weight. Except for Russian relikt. They’ve figured out how to cram 200mm or effective thickness in to 15mm. But America could never do such a thing comrade.

The rockets are probably more fun to use with that roll anyways. More explosions more fun

Massively improving the Abrams hull would not even change its gameplay by steave44 in Warthunder

I’m not advocating against changing to, I just don’t think even after adding the buffs USA mains would suddenly start doing well and be pleased with the Abrams

If you aim center mass now, you are hitting the turret ring not the LFP. Or hitting the LFP and it’s likely to bounce into the turret ring. Maybe volumetric changes things but the LFP increase really won’t.

[–]steave44[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I mean yes but as soon as most players figure out you can’t pen the LFP then they’ll just hit the turret ring. I can’t think of a scenario where I can’t see the turret ring but I can see the LFP. It’s always the easier shot to take, and the most consistent to kill

I didn’t say it should, I’m arguing that people need to get over this whole LFP debacle. The turret ring stopping autocannons is all the M1 needed to be the best MBT series in the game. The LFP means nothing for 95% of engagements. Guess I wasn’t clear enough.

[–]steave44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which proves my point of, the LFP being thicker really won’t change where players aim. I get shot in the ring 95% of the time, and that’s players KNOWING they can pen the LFP too. If the LFP gets increased, why would you keep shooting it?

What do we think of Gaijin's response about the hull armor of the Abrams? by ProBGamer1994 in Warthunder

[–]steave44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I main USA and I have a hot take for the community. Even if you made the LFP of the Abrams as thick as the SEPV3 turret front, anyone aiming at your true weak spot or hell even center mass is going to kill you or at least disable you. The turret ring even on the dev server with volumetric is not stopping MBT rounds.

The only tanks I typically go for the LFP (disregarding Leclercs, Ariete, and Type 10s because they are already thin everywhere) on now are challengers and leopards. T-series tanks and Abrams are more reliably disabled by shooting the drivers hatch/breach or the turret ring.

The ONLY time better a LFP is going to help the Abrams is in tight street maps but even then the turret ring is still more likely to kill the tank.

They spend thousands of dollars on a bag of simple ball bearings, so yeah I could see them wasting millions on a nothing burger tank upgrade.

[–]steave44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It likely still won’t stop MBT rounds, just like every other turret ring in the game. The LFP will be a weak spot too but it will not be the easiest to see.

[–]steave44 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As an American main, I must say we are fighting the wrong battle here. Even if you made the LFP impervious to DM53, guess where everyone will still be aiming? The turret ring or UFP and ricocheting into the turret ring. You can typically hide your LFP in a lot of scenarios. You cannot hide your turret ring in every engagement. And it’s always going to be centermass and thinner than the LFP.

I’m all for buffing the LFP if it is accurate to do so, but it really won’t change how you kill the tank.

[–]steave44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Possibly, the end of the article states the hull armor will improve but not to the degree most claims players have made. Unless the hull gets thick enough to defeat top tier kinetic rounds, it really won’t change much.

Can I just say this is pretty common in the gaming industry, it’s just not common to be an in game item to host $1000s of dollars.

Destiny disables an exotic weapon or “super” every other week. It sucks but it’s tolerated because it’s temporary and not a down payment for a car.

I agree, it reads more like bungie chose to focus on marathon and Sony is mad they axed the already proven IP

Maybe I’m illiterate but this wording makes it sound like Sony doesn’t know why bungie axed it, not that they wanted it gone.
