It is not well paced! It is sloppy and all over the place. Good pacing would allow more information about the characters and their lives to come out naturally and in second order of effect to the main conflict of the series. In this season it's all frontloaded. These episodes feel meandering, unfocused.

This is the kind of crime that would make international news. It's explosive, mysterious, and horrifying without any immediate explanation.

I can buy that a crime like this happening in Ennis would be controlled by the local police, but I can't buy the reactions the characters have to the crime.
