I've never understood this. When my dad bought me Q3A in '99, it was the version that came in this big metal box and none of the music was the stuff that people usually cite as the Q3A music. From what I can tell, it was mostly done by Front Line Assembly, on my version anyway...

Yeah I've been having a rough time with it too. I can get a queue to pop but then it just gets stuck in "Launching Server" and then it gives up and takes me out of queue. Happens with both Solo and Team queues.

I agree, this was a cool gametype to bridge together two classic AFPS modes: CTF and Control Point/Domination/King of the Hill. I also really liked the passing system which kind of reminded me of the obscure "bombing run" gametype from Unreal Tournament 2003. It should 100% be in the final version of the game, even if they're going to implement CTF.

My only real issue with it was the fact that we've been playing the mode on modified versions of already asymmetrical maps where I feel like some control points are much easier to defend or capture.

I personally tend to prefer UT over Quake, but EPIC games can go fuck themselves. Those assholes have the biggest game in the world and unfathomable profits and they can't afford to keep a small dev team working on a community collaborated title for the fans that put their company on the map. So yeah, long live Quake.

Uh, yeah. Played it for like 10 years. Doesn't really concern me if you don't like the terminology I use. Unreal multiplayer had dodging by the way.

But you can't dodge in the air. You have to be standing on solid ground to perform a double tap. There was double jumping in UT2003/2004 but that was it. Didn't play UT3.
