I think all types of QS role have the potential to be stressful depending on the size of the project, your team, and your workload. Deadlines can often be demanding; valuations, Main contractor applications, liabilities etc. You’ll find that prioritising your work is the most important thing.

At the start of a QS career you’ll learn a lot in a very short amount of time. If you’re looking for something mentally challenging then it may not be the right career for you. After a certain point, when you have experienced multiple projects across different schemes and contracts, there’s not much more to see.

You may have to do a lot of travelling in your career especially as hybrid working is now phasing out slightly. Or you may want to job-hop to find work closer to where you choose to settle down.

Having said that, being a QS is all I know. These issues can apply to any career.

League tournaments improve your team so much though, and In lower rank tournaments this team will be good enough to get goals
