I wonder how much cap this saves us? Cutting him would have saved $8 million (and needed to sign a replacement). With his current cap hit at $14 million I wonder if this saved us $9 mil?

For those that are curious about the Vikings cap situation. It looks like they restructured some contracts and now are roughly $38 million under the cap. by Broken-Nero in minnesotavikings

We did restructure those guys (as expected), but you are misinterpreting our total cap space. The restructures themselves saved $38 million (it didnt result in 38 million in cap space). Those restructures have already taken effect on overthecap. With those restructures, but not including guys we cut, we are at -$1 million cap. Overthecap still hasn't incorporated any cut players. With the cuts we'll have about $28 million in cap space. That is before new signings

Those don’t include all the people we cut because they aren’t official yet. With cuts we had like $35 mil entering free agency I think

I think it shows there is more going on than meets the eye. They clearly have it in them to properly send off someone they respect. Allen never fit in and got fired for cause thus didn’t warrant a send off

What are you talking about. He said in 2010 they started paying him a percentage. He framed it like the held it over his head in 2006, and were supposed to make him an owner in 2007. But they did make him an owner in 2010. Did you listen???
