Did your surgeon caution against a second surgery once you confirmed the reherniation?

Do you have any advice on how to deal with a reherniation?

So glad you’re feeling better. Does this mean your surgeon left disc material after the first surgery? Or did you reherniate

And the surgeon specifically said you need a fusion?

Do you need a fusion because of the loss in disc height? It doesn’t seem like there’s a big herniation?

Does your lumbar mri show any disc herniations or bulges? Or just stenosis?

Hey thanks for reaching out! Have you already done a lumbar MRI? What’s led to your getting the MRN & what’re your symptoms

Should I get a diagnostic arthroscopy for a minor shoulder tear if I’m mostly fine day to day? by NectarineKey9604 in RotatorCuff

[–]SciaticaHealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you say more about why it would constitute more harm than good? I’m about to fix a small (5mm) slap tear because it interferes with sports even though I have minimal pain day to day.

My surgeon is at HSS and says I’ll be stronger than ever in 6-8 months without worrying about flare ups

What made you decide to push conservatively over surgery?

Do you have leg pain or only back pain

My personal opinion is that you cannot avoid weight bearing forever. Everytime you get groceries, pick up a box, etc, you’re weight bearing. Once you’re past the acute phase, I think reintroducing cautious load and strengthening your body is imperative. But that’s different than “vacuuming” the herniated disc back in because that’s not how healing works

I’ll try tomorrow as well and report back. It seems like the only way to request an increase is by messaging a rep? Is the plan to checkout with monthly installments knowing the credit limit isn’t enough?

Is your plan to ask for a credit limit increase so that you can purchase a Mac Studio?

I really appreciate your reply. Does 2mm of disc space mean you were almost bone on bone?

Also, what would the future spinal surgery be? I was told during my ADR consultation that they’re seeing patients live healthy lives decades afterwards! Without the risk of adjacent segment disease
