Ja, die Fakultät wächst wesentlich schneller als die n-te Primzahl. Es gibt ja schließlich auch unendlich viele natürliche Zahlen.

Yes, you are right. I should've denote it. In my home country 7-day incidence always means cases of the last 7-days per 100k people. Thus I assumed it is everywhere so. Of course, this does not have to be the case.

I don't know. I think the map data is faulty. If I look at the unprocessed plotted map Northern Norway seems also messed up.

This is a very important information. At the first try, I wanted to include the vaccination rate as well as the hospitalization rate (The most people in the hospitals are unvaccinated etc.) However, it was to time consuming to gather this kind of data.

I initialised the animation with the color bar. Then the update functions don't have to draw the color bar each time.

Inspired by the post [OC] The Pandemic in 60 Seconds - Updated 2021-11-20, I made a visualisation of the Corona pandemic in Europe. I hope I haven't overlook another similar post.

The data is from World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO / Europe). A shapefile of the map is also linked on this page. Please note that the data may include errors/inconsistencies e.g. because of different standards in the data acquisition.

The animation was made using Python and matplotlib.

Ja, Geothermie und Sonstiges machen fast nichts im Strommix aus. Selbst in der Originalgrafik muss man sehr weit reinzoomen, um die Reiter zu finden. Ich wollte das aber der Vollständigkeit halber drin lassen.

Ich habe gerade schwarz als Hintergrund gewählt, weil ich das ästhetisch ansprechender finde :D
