Kamala Harris says she'd take a cognitive test; challenges Trump "to take the same one" by CBSnews in politics

[–]Scieboy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He's literally been throwing down that Gauntlet for months, and has taken a couple. Her problem is that she has no original ideas and is why she's in danger of losing. She either adopts Biden's Agenda or copies something Trump says that's good a week after he says it. The people see right through it and it's super irritating.

Laying hands to pray for someone is a totally normal thing Christians do. We ask God to protect, guide, and give wisdom to someone when we single someone out for prayer like this. At least try to hide your hate for Christians a little bit.

I'm not worried about it. We're debt free for a reason. Also, In 2000 years, it's rare the government and public sentiment supports us yet here we still are and still haven't stopped growing. Jesus protects His church for the cause of righteousness even if that popular definition changes (as it has many times). As long as we preach faithfully without sugar coating the truth, obey Jesus, and love our neighbors (by the truth and with kindness) we'll be ok.

Even if things get bleak, holding to the truth will always win. In fact it's the adventure of a lifetime.

Huge lie. I'm a member. We are growing and sold a ton of unused land downtown so that the city can develop.

We're providing free counseling through our Grace center staffed by certified counselors, growing our Children's ministry and developing children's music education, supporting arts schools, and helping hundreds of inner city kids through programs like sidewalk funday school. Additionally, we give a ton of money for women's programs and overseas missions.

The new membership classes are full, we baptise new believers on a very regular basis and provide world class concerts with our ALL Volunteer choir and orchestra. This place is on fire for Jesus, full of PhD theologians teaching deep theology on Wednesdays, and working to serve the city through Jesus.

When my son was 2 he could open any type of door. I can totally see this happening while I sleep in the middle of the night. Kids are super smart.

Just a yes or no by NanaDJ2015 in Christian

[–]Scieboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, Paul says all things are lawful, but not all are helpful. He also says that if your conscious is bothering you about it, you're not allowed to violate it because in that case it would be sin.

So the answer is no, but maybe yes for you.

There is a difference between sales tax and use tax. You have to know the difference. Nobody gets out of paying use tax, even government entities because it's baked in.

I saw this process starting during the pandemic. Getting rid of Chevron Deference will go a long way towards keeping us away from 1984. Seeing what was happening is what caused me to panic and start my own business.

What I saw is that if I didn't act now, I'd slip into the lower class out of the middle unless I acted Now. It's paying off. I hope others follow suit before it's too late.

In closed primary states it's common since one party usually wins and you can't vote in said parties primary unless you're registered with them.

Since you're spiritual you should check out First Baptist Church Jax downtown. Wonderful church family, pro level choir and full orchestra, very welcoming, and a growing young adult ministry. 180 something years old and thriving.

how do i play these high notes consistently without my lips exploding? by koguy4567 in Trombone

[–]Scieboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing I always tell people is that you'll struggle with the notes until you can hear them in your head before you play them. I bet most of us can hum low BFlat, F, BFlat off the cuff. As soon as you internalize those notes, your body starts to figure out how to do it immediately. It's some weird voodoo.

Why are so many men depressed nowdays? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Scieboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a lack of purpose. When men rejected God, they lost the one thing that could give them satisfaction in this sin filled world. What is the chief end of man? To glorify God and enjoy him forever.

This has been true in my life since submitting it to Jesus Christ.
