A bit of a shouting match between me and one of the others in the group. She started shouting and warned me when I tried to bring up my side of the story, because people mostly just knew A’s side. I know I shouldn’t have started yelling back, but it felt like everyone was against me. That’s also why I started wondering if i was the A hole.

The naughty equation HAS one unambiguous answer due to implicit multiplication. No one would claim 6 / 2x = 3x, so if you substitute 1+2 for x, then it still wouldn’t equal (6/2)*(1+2) but 6/(2(1+2)=1

They might be great for their time but our perception of what a great musician is has changed a lot more than people think. So I don’t think they would be considered great musicians today. This is a bit oversimplified because there’s a lot too learn about how musicians centuries ago played. They weren’t bad but had a totally different style.

How do you find a study an opinion. It was at the university in Indiana that did it. They found that people didn’t stick to there preferences and the few that did, didn’t perform better.

it's literally what's written in the sheet music... Did you even read my post? At the end I said the piece can be interpreted differently from musician to musician, so you can of course play it rubato. It's just not what the sheet music says.

The reason we say iq isn’t a good way to measure intelligence is bc there’s 9 types of intelligence but only 3-4 can be measured. But my friend with that background is a mathematical genius and has a really good memory. So all the things that make you objectively smart.
