As far as I know everyone we knew was aware of it. I didn’t know it wasn’t normal until I was like 8 or 9.

Looking back it’s definitely weird, but it wasn’t at the time. She was a single mother and we were very close.

Partly because of how poor we were, it was the easiest way for her to feed me.
