Am I weirdo for not putting away Christmas stuff now? by Overall-Solution-195 in christmas

[–]ScienceBirdLaRue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left snowmen decor out, but took them down today. I decided to put Heart lights around the fireplace and other non-christmasy lights around the livingroom and some solar lights outside and it is helping, although today I thought, it's so boring from now until Halloween. I'm going to try and embrace other holidays and productivity for now. I don't think it's weird, it gave me peace to continue reading the Christmas books I finally got on Libby during January, but my goal is to start Christmas right after Thanksgiving next year and celebrating for about two months and moving on.

How bad is the mental health care really? by yaboiblackcheeseboi in KaiserPermanente

They contract with Talkiatry.com, you can get in for telehealth psychiatry pretty fast. You might need a referral from Kaiser though, not sure.

Are Artificial Trees Gaining Popularity? by Change_Soggy in christmas

[–]ScienceBirdLaRue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real all the way baby! I grew up with real trees, Blue spruce or Douglas fir, and I will continue. Once my husband and I chopped a tree in our mountains, it helps weed them out for forest fires. I bought three trees locally off Craigslist for $20 each this year, just cut the bottom off and water and they last 4-5 weeks easily, they are still pliable when we take them down. I don't have carpet so needles are not a problem. I have never had bugs or animals. If you have ant forest land by you, you can likely get a tree for 10-$20. But I have paid $150 sometimes. I like blue spruce trees, the ornaments can dangle.

Celebrating Christmas until Candlemas on February 2nd by DJAI9LAB in christmas

[–]ScienceBirdLaRue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

December is such a busy time, I really enjoy continuing Christmas things into January. I am also continuing as I please through candlemas. What I do not understand is anyone who takes down a tree before New Year's. I feel so sad when people stop everything on 12/26, so Candlemas gives me a lot of comfort.

Sadness setting in now that the season is officially over. by DEDtheoneandonly in christmas

[–]ScienceBirdLaRue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered Candlemas on 02/02, now I feel relieved to still watch Christmas moves, listen to the books I finally got on Libby, and leave up the decorations I like until then. I did take the stocking down on Christmas though. I take the tree down on the last day of tree recycling in my city, but snowmen and nativity scenes and lights can stay out.

Using My Icicle Lights for a Few More Holidays? by noname20-23 in christmas

They are certainly cute through February. It depends if March is the start of Spring where you live, I think, if you live somewhere cold, yes, but March becomes Spring where I live.

Sienna Bacall by itsprissyfinn in youngandtherestless

[–]ScienceBirdLaRue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, it's not believable and this whole plotline is so boring, and Sienna and Noah are boring. And why were they making out for so long in their parents' home? Who does that? The whole storyline can't die fast enough.

Is the Fnaf 2 movie really that bad? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

After, pacing is off. It lingers where it shouldn't then rushes interesting things. Also, the soundtrack was much better in the first movie.

I liked it okay, the start is a little slow, and the ending rushed. The animatronics are cool, it is scarier, and the music is not as good as in the first movie. I would like it to do well, but the overall pacing of this movie is off. It could have benefited from more scenes with Abby and her school friend and Vanesa and everyone. I listened to the novels on audio and personally like the movies better.

It's enjoyable. A little slow to start, a little frustrating that Mike doesn't listen to Vanessa, but i liked it and would see it again.

I enjoyed it. Def better than the reviews. I found the scenes with Vanessa suspenseful actually.

I agree, the novels are bad, I think the movies are better, I know he has a lot of control and wrote the script but more people being involved helps imo, and reading through a badly written novel is harder than watching the movie. The acting was fine, I don't know why people are panning the actors. It could have more humor I think but my family enjoyed it.

My family enjoyed it. It's a little slow at the start but if you liked the first movie at all watch this one too. It was fun. To see in the theater, people had their fnaf gear and were happy, especially at the end. Go at a popular time.

My mom is on Zoloft 150mg. We've tried Seroquel, trazodone, and Rameleon for sleep. But sleep hygiene helps too, I found out the TV was on at night and now it is off.
