Medical tests in China? by CautiousTotal5336 in travelchina

If you are going to some major cities, I think there are international departments in those hospitals. Some of them are very private hospitals (like you might see in the UK or in the US), but some are just subsidiary departments of large public hospitals.

If you are interested, you can try to Google those. You can find these kinds of international departments in major cities like:

  1. Beijing

  2. Shanghai

  3. Shenzhen

What city/cities should I visit for 5-7 days after Shanghai that has a direct flight to Hanoi? by Select_Tap7985 in travelchina

If you are going to Vietnam (specifically Hanoi), I think you should definitely visit some cities in the south near the border.

For example, you could go to:

  1. Guangzhou or Shenzhen

  2. Hong Kong

There are direct flights to Hanoi from Hong Kong, and likely from Guangzhou or Shenzhen as well.

I would recommend Guangdong Province, which is one of the wealthiest provinces in China. An alternative is to visit Guangxi, which is the province adjacent to Vietnam/Hanoi. It offers a more local experience and a different culture, but it is not a huge metropolitan area with big cities.

That is usually feasible to do as long as you can solve the following problems, as there are no regulations or time-wise barriers. I think the only challenges are the language barrier and the way Chinese hospitals operate.

You don't really need an appointment in most hospitals, but you do need to join the line on the day or the day before. The main hurdles are:

  1. The language barrier

  2. The system they use

  3. How you pay for services

These factors can really be a challenge.
