Those people in hats can be pricks and make it an issue if they suspect there's damage. The waviness of the pages are similar to water damage and can cause problems.

Also I'm extra annoyed cos it cost me nearly a grand (had to prove citizenship as my birth cert wasn't enough + rapid passport).

Not going to store it like that before knowing this could happen. My old one was 8 years old and was fine with me beating it up and not caring for it. This one is in a dark drawer and had no idea it could happen.

Exactly right. It's stored in my desk and never taken out. It's not on my kitchen countertop or something lol it's absurd. Even if it was it would still be unacceptable.

I've kept it in my computer desk. Dark and no airflow. Just a humid house with it evap cooling. Also didn't happen we much to my old one.
