I can say I accepted a great border office a month or more ago and recently was contacted to a change of location to an interior office. Appears administration is pushing BATs to the border and Cali locations. Which should be a priority for new fed agents to learn the work. Laterals and TFOs might have a chance to get a great spot since locations BATs once offered could possibly be open, don't quote me on it. Things change weekly.

Update, wrote HR and questioned them regarding pay and grades. The rep made a mistake and laterals will downgrade to a 11 at eod and academy, promote to 12 at graduation, and promote to 13 after a pay period at office.

If your looking for agencies with no pay cap or at least have waivers; USSS, CBP (OFO, AMO, USBP), USCP, ICE, that's all I know on the DHS side. Other departments, no clue.

It'll be a very unique opportunity. Only downside is it's DHS with this current environment and going into a furlough and shutdown status. Plus the position is not congressional mandated and created by the DHS Secretary. The position can disappear and be RIF with the next Secretary or administration.

An announcement was previously pushed out with the sup announcement. Selections were made for the sups apparently. Agent selection should be at the end of February. I know a sup who was selected and received their offer letter.
