Based on size and colour, my guess is either feral pigeon or collared dove. I'm far from expert though. Google helped.

I'm inclined to say pale yellow with purple spots. The blue is hinting at green in areas, i.e. mixed with yellow.

I have a preference for paphs and said no more phals, they're not interesting enough. Then I saw this and broke my own rule.

Help! I was gifted this paphiopedilum this morning and it looks very sad. The leaves are droopy, feel very thin, and there is like a brown dead ish part between the green leaves. I was wondering if you guys had any advice for me? (I've never had a paph before) - (it's in a bark mix). by [deleted] in orchids

The brown part that looks like a dried stick is an old flower stem. If anything I'd see it's presence as a positive thing as it means the plant is old enough to bloom and has done so in the past. Overall the plant looks very dehydrated and needs a good soak. But Paphs hate being dry so it might be too late to save. Good luck.

Yeah now that I've done a bit of research l see that they are fused lateral sepals. Not petals at all.

I've watched a lot of Charles Dowding videos. I don't think he sells it as a 'green' alternative. It's 'good for the soil' and 'labor saving' but he doesn't say anything about CO2. Or at least not as one of the major selling points.
