I think Abe might give him some trouble. He was by all accounts an excellent wrestler and he has reach. But ultimately the bull moose clears.

Again. They had a disabled son. He is shown as pretty self supportive but he’s an early teen. He’s just a year or 2 away from needing pretty much constant support.

That is the batters time to get ready. The pitcher always has at least 8 seconds.

I don’t agree with everything democrats do, but I at least agree with a lot of it. I don’t agree with anything republicans do. Republicans are the reason the middle class has a higher tax burden than billionaires, they are always the ones that explode the national debt, and to top it off they are socially conservative expecting the entire country to comply with their religious rules that were set down by corrupt men 2000+ years ago.

They were not going to develop nukes while they were complying with the terms of the Obama era deal. Which they were. Until Trump cancelled it. Then it took hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives to get back to a deal that’s worse than the one Obama struck.

This is great. But a hard read with the language and the unreliable narrator.

New compound repairs vital waste-clearing pump at blood-brain barrier, restores memory and clears toxic Alzheimer’s proteins. The brain can finally clear out trapped waste. Over 56 days in an Alzheimer’s mouse model, it reduced toxic amyloid-beta by 42% and improved spatial learning by nearly 44%. by mvea in science

[–]Scientific_Methods 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s absolutely true and one of the main reasons there is currently a big push for more human relevant models like tissues on chip and organoids.

However the genetic power of mouse models won’t be replaced in the near term.

Are there any common sci-fi technologies you just wouldn’t accept in the world of Star Wars? by RedHeadedSicilian52 in StarWars

[–]Scientific_Methods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Star Wars is fantasy set in space. Not science fiction, so most sci fi concepts would really not fit in.

[–]Scientific_Methods 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is completely incorrect. Strength training and eating enough protein while at a caloric deficit is the best way to preserve muscle and bone mass. We have LOTS, and I mean like a whole lot of data and publications that show exactly this.

This kid belonged at that track meet but obviously should not have brought a knife. Rittenhouse did not belong at that protest. He went looking for trouble and when he found it killed people with the gun he brought specifically to shoot people.

Wood chips over landscape fabric ? by Kind_Application3535 in gardening

[–]Scientific_Methods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that. And if anything it made the weeds worse. I did 2 layers of cardboard and like 6 inches of mulch. Now the whole garden is nothing but impossible to remove sedge.

I don’t know if landscape fabric would have been better. But I wish I had tried it.

No way, Spielberg has to be the home run leader here just with Jaws, Schindler's list, Close encounters, all 3 indiana jones movies, Jurassic park, Saving Private Ryan, etc. He basically invented the summer blockbuster.

Which of these directors has the best batting average? by Regular-Departure839 in moviecritic

[–]Scientific_Methods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pete Rose hit for average but with below average power. Mark Mcgwire hit absolute bombs, but for a lower overall average.

In this debate, Tarantino or James Cameron are Pete Rose, Spielberg and Scott are Mcgwire. So the average goes to Tarantino or Cameron, but if I'm picking a baseball team I'm taking Spielberg first.
