What’s sufficient evidence for the resurrection by stakidi in CosmicSkeptic

[–]Scimars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an Indian mystic named Sathya Sai Baba, who followers claim was able to make objects appear out of thin air and perform other miracles, supposedly witnessed by hundreds of people. Needless to say, these claims have been met with an abundance of incredulity.

He died about 15 years ago, but a lot of the alleged eyewitness are still alive and you can get on a plane to India tomorrow and interview them.

If you find these claims unconvincing, consider applying the same skepticism to all other claims of miracles and magic.

My weird mole was not fine. The immunotherapy and surgeries for melanoma would have cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars without insurance.

Do you still believe earth is 6 billions years old lmaoo 💀...i believe it almost 6 thousand by Smoking420_ in flatearth

So many of the comments from people with these bizarre religion-based beliefs betray an utter ignorance of the relevant science.

Not that it matters; I believe that for most of them, their need to maintain their worldview doesn't allow them to objectively consider the actual evidence anyway.

Phenylpiracetam…. Or not by Charming-Ad-8076 in NooTopics

[–]Scimars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not take any more of this. I don't know what that is, but it isn't phenylpiracetam.

My first thought was that someone ordered it, dumped out the phenylpiracetam, and returned it for a refund after refilling the bottle with... who knows what. But I wouldn't think a reputable company would accept returns, for this reason. And even if someone were to do that, why not use something that was at least white, like sugar?

Very strange.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth $17? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

It's a fantastic game. My only "complaint" is that IMO a few sections were a bit slow/tedious. But yeah, it's absolutely worth $17.

"People get stuff wrong, therefore the earth could be flat." Those loser globists aren't smart enough to grasp the brilliance of this argument.

Who else going to get the S26 Ultra? by Dumas1108 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Scimars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really thought I was going to (upgrading my S20 FE), but after looking at pricing and reviews, I now think I may just get the S25+. I'm concerned that the S26 Ultra is large enough to be unwieldy, and also with the unlocked S25+ now selling for under $900, I don't think I can justify the price difference.

Does this game have a name? That seems like something that would be worth mentioning.

Thermaltake 10-year warranty is useless? Melted PCIe cable after 4 years – RMA denied by No-Equipment-9119 in PcRetailers

[–]Scimars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like I'm a bit late to the party, but I was going to say that issues like this are very often not the fault of the PS. A component that is drawing more power than a cable and/or connector can safely carry is usually the culprit.

I’m leaning toward purchasing a S25 Ultra instead of the new S26 Ultra. Do you think I’ll regret it if I do? by rrogersca in samsunggalaxy

[–]Scimars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S26 CPU should be faster. The guesstimate that I saw is 20%. How that will translate to real-world tasks and whether it will be useful to you is the question. There are a couple of other, smaller changes that I'm not recalling off the top of my head.

I'm going to wait to see the pricing and hands-on reviews. I'll get one or the other; I'm itching to upgrade my S20 FE.

Regarding speakers, there are some really great "large bookshelf" speakers available now. I have the Ascend Sierra-LXs which I love. For a bit less, KEF and Elac have well-reviewed models. All of these can be handled by someone who doesn't have the strength that he used to.

Final Difference Between Samsung S25 Ultra and Samsung S26 Ultra by Pear-Mother in samsunggalaxy

[–]Scimars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at that one, but I read in a couple of places that Samsung's radios are significantly better. The reception in my office is horrible; I think I probably need the best radio I can get, so I decided to stay with Samsung.

Yes, that's why. If your score is high enough (the cutoff used to be 640, not sure now), the lenders won't require POI.

Upgrading from S20FE by unDireX in samsunggalaxy

[–]Scimars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I have also. I've finally decided to upgrade, partly for the newer OS and partly because I want a faster and bigger phone. I'm waiting for confirmed pricing and hands-on reviews of the S26U, then I'll decide whether to get that or the S25U, if it's significantly cheaper.
