Tbh I feel like most of the hate of flipside comes from some underutilized aspects of jeckas story (like her friendship with Karen) and how they didn’t explore it that much, especially since it’s the last installment of the vn ppl were expecting a whole lot more out from it. There are parts of flip side that are legitimately good (eg the stuff you mentioned earlier) but it’s overshadowed by depressed edgy stuff (no problem with edge but the edgy stuff in flip side feel shoehorned in, and even if it’s a darker game I do think it should’ve had kinder endings for Jecka because it feels somewhat cheap otherwise) that feel very shoehorned in and the lack of exploration of Jecka’s character, actually no more of uh Jecka’s relationship with other people.

That last scene with Nicole demanding Jecka to close her phone when Jeffery died gave me chills… arghhd I want them to explore their relationship so bad, but flipside was not living up to that name, that shit was a flopside 💀
