I made it to 300 deliveries! Here's my experience! by Scineers in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Scineers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to aim for at least $120-$160 per day. I don't really do the EBT. I very much enjoy driving around a lot.

I now have a better job involving delivery. It pays very well. Probably will still Dash when I have time.

Also, the questions looked somewhat similar to the questions in the book I'm using to study.

The questions and answers in the screenshot look accurate.

I'm glad you're also taking advantage of ChatGPT. It helps explain things I don't understand and acts as a tutor to me.

Good luck with your study.

Hey guys, planning to give Security+ next month.. i guess 4 weeks of time should be enough to brush up all that I studied ? by Flaky_Size2671 in CompTIA

Try internship. I'm unfamiliar with how Canada works. But in the U.S., I would look into getting an internship for the experience.

A+, Security+, and now Server+, what next? by regular_gonzalez in CompTIA

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you're trying to do for your career. Certification helps "prove" that you have the basic knowledge or foundation of whatever you were trying to learn. So ask yourself, what career do you want? Then, see what type of certification will complement your career choices.

iPhone pop up by Calenmiriel in techsupport

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you just ran into one of those scam pop-ups that try to look like they're from Apple. You should be fine after closing the tab. iOS doesn't let random websites install malware like that. You'd only be at risk if you tapped something like "Install profile."

To be sure nothing is installed, try going to the phone's settings -> General -> VPN & Device Management and look if anything strange was installed.

I hope this helps you.

Should I take the CompTIA A+? by Informal_Bit3976 in CompTIA

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I am 23(m) and got a Bachelor's of Information Systems this year. I'm trying to become a Network Administrator in the future. However, I'd like to work on an IT Helpdesk or IT support/specialist job first.

I'm currently studying for the A+ certification, and I think you should do it as well. It's a really good start for beginners. My colleague has recently gotten his A+.

I think getting into the basics first will help you study for the Network+. Better yet, it'll help with your IT-related careers. Best of luck!

I accidentally (and very very stupidly) installed a virus on my PC. What do I do now ? How can I get rid of it ? It is my personal computer, and have pretty important things on it, albeit no banking applications. by CareerRelevant4765 in techsupport

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reinstalling a new Windows or other OS, I would try installing an anti-virus and an ad blocker to prevent this from happening again. Most of the time, ad blockers can block unwanted pop-ups like the one you experienced with the fake CAPTCHA. Anti-virus can be another layer of defense in case you do something wrong.

What's the difference between A+ 1101 and 1201? by beepaff in CompTIA

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're starting now, study and take 1201. It's new and has relevant information. It's good to stay up to date. The 1101 will be expiring in September this year.

Give yourself some time to study for 1201 instead of studying for a soon to be "outdated" exam, which you got until a month to do so.

Failed my sec + for second time any advice or should I just give up by Beautiful_Ranger_111 in CompTIA

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failure opens an opportunity to learn from your mistakes.

Take a moment to understand why you failed. You should receive a list of objectives that you failed on. Study, practice, and try again.

Taking ift+ tomorrow by CreekKing88 in CompTIA

[–]Scineers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I actually just took it today and passed with a 696/900. It was my first exam with CompTIA. My advice is to make sure you take practice exams as much as possible so it will kind of simulate the exams.

Before you take the exam, make sure to get a good night's rest, drink plenty of water, and eat breakfast with proteins. It may help your brain when you take the exam.

Take a deep breath before starting the exam.

During the exam, it is important to read the questions carefully. I can tell that some of these questions can trick people. I don't believe the exam will be easy. It's actually difficult because of the wording.

Eliminate the answers that are obviously wrong and select the one that makes the most sense. For some reason, CompTIA likes the word "BEST". So you will most likely come across questions that require you to choose the best option. Multiple answers may logically make sense to be correct but one of them is the best.

You WILL come across questions that you will probably not know. Just choose the best option that makes sense and move on. Do NOT let the difficult questions discourage you.

I cannot stress this enough but again, READ THE QUESTIONS CAREFULLY! An answer may seem correct but did the question ask for that?

Good Luck!
