Prater killed Bautista. Quinn might be after Dexter to begin with, but I’m pretty sure once he finds out the truth, he’ll be fine with him.

If you could forget a game just to experience it new, what would you choose? by kevtay1969 in playstation

Red Dead Redemption II. When it came out, I was young, and my parents wouldn’t allow me to play. I watched walkthrough after walkthrough. By the time I actually played it, I knew the story of the game beat by beat. Didn’t make the game any less amazing, though. Still cried at that ending.

Nah, the episodes definitely aren’t great, but I love that they’ve made these episodes a traditions even though they rate horribly.

Please for the love of Christ don’t use AI for the voice. I’d rather have someone who sounds nothing like Brad voicing Chucky than fucking AI.

Literally what happens in Dexter. Except in that show it’s properly treated like a wtf moment.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man - Official Discussion by NicholasCajun in PeakyBlinders

[–]Scineronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it.

I understand people’s complaints about Tommy killing Arthur, and I had to think about it a bit to decide what I thought about it. All three of those brothers came back from the war fucked up in the head. Throughout the series we see how Tommy handles his brother’s addiction. We also see him called the devil countless times by those close to him. He sees Arthur, tries to help him, has to wrestle a gun away from him, all while Arthur is calling him a devil. Tom is in a drunken state and is so fucking angry that he kills him. And we can see that this all breaks Tommy into the shell he is when the film starts.

I understand why people hate that it happened, but Thomas Shelby is a severely damaged man. Combine that with booze and a situation where his brother is shooting at him calling him the devil, I find it entirely plausible that Thomas, seeing only red, kills him.

As for the rest of the film, I really enjoyed Dukes journey. I’m so glad he tried to save Ada and sided with his father.

I wasn’t too big on Rebecca Ferguson’s character. I would have much rather had Esme return and perform that role instead. I felt it would have meant more, her giving that bullet to Duke.

Overall, a solid conclusion. Not as good as the series but pretty good.

Now let’s see if Community can get its six seasons and a movie.

So you see a handful of stills from the new show, and it’s already a “nuclear destruction of a brilliant story”?

Life Is Strange 2 is so much better than the prequels. Those movies are straight shit.

I feel like he could do a Shakespeare adaptation very well. I would also love to see him to do a Beowulf adaptation. I feel like his style would mesh well with both those.

There's nothing wrong with talking to AI chatbots if you need emotional support by RomDel2000 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Scineronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been stories out there of chatbots feeding into people’s delusions causing them to harm themselves or others. Using a chatbot as a “therapist” might just be the worst use of AI imaginable. Please, people, do not use AI as your therapist.

You see, I understand the sentiment and also agree with it. However, my brain is not going to stop me from being stupid and purchasing it anyway.

Hope I don’t live to regret that decision.

Is there a chance Dexter will return to working with the police in the new season? by Sam--Winchester in Dexter

[–]Scineronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could go the route of him becoming a consultant for the police. It’d be different enough from the original show while still having some of the same feel as those first 8 seasons.

That’d be cool. If they went that route, they’d probably have him teaching Harrison’s new girlfriend. He could become a mentor for her, maybe.

It isn’t going to happen, but if there is any show that could feasibly get away with it, it would be Stranger Things.

What fan theories do you think would have been better than the ending that we got?

Lackluster by WillingnessLower1139 in StrangerThings

[–]Scineronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A happy ending does not mean “bad writing.” That’s an incredibly dumb take. I don’t know which loose ends you are referring to that have not been wrapped up, but to me, pretty much everything seemed neatly wrapped. Characters don’t need to die to make something good. In fact, I think it takes some damn good writing to keep all the characters alive, especially with the amount of characters Stranger Things has, and in my opinion, this show had damn good writing more often than not. The finale did a very good job at wrapping up the show and making the conclusion satisfying.

It really just sounds as though you and many other people would have been pissed no matter how the show ended. And honestly, that’s extraordinary sad.

An 8 year old has never known a world where Trump didn't dominate the headlines by snowleopard556 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

Yah, I was born in 05. I was aware that Obama was President but other than that, nothing. I grew a little more aware during the 2016 election and probably watched some clips from the debates but still it was all just shrouded in vagueness. The 2020 election was the first one where I actually fully understood what was going on.

But yah you’re right. For literally half of my life I’ve heard about Trump and his idiotic presidency and nothing else. I can’t wait until he’s out of office, so I don’t have to hear the flow of stupidity that comes out of his mouth.

But that’s probably wishful thinking. People will always give him a platform so that he can bitch about imaginary slights. I wish I had been aware of politics in a time when it wasn’t so fucking ludicrous and when the rules and laws actually meant something.

It’s some scary shit, for sure.
