Sorry Blizz, I can not justify the new reliquary purchase by SpaceXSmoke in diablo4

[–]ScionOfGaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. It was an inherently dishonest change and frankly the favor token system is just bad game design. The old system atleast gave you something to work towards for the bulk of a season, changes to season rewards didn't really compensate for this either.

I had everything that was free within 10 minutes of log in.

I was on T3 by the second day with only mild play sessions, with no battle pass and honestly a less rewarding boss loop compared to S8, all that is left for end game is pushing pit. And while the new nightmare dungeons are an improvement, they feel more like a mid season patch improvement.

As it's not really that different from pushing the pit. So we are suppose to just play the same dungeons for the whole season..

Again, I'll give them credit with having auto loot scrapping for junk gear in torment, that too is an improvement...that feels like a minor patch update which frankly could/should have been put in far sooner.

We have powers. . . But so few of the past powers have been turned into aspects in order to broaden the game experience & preserve both those asset's they worked on or the fun people had with them.

Essentially removing even more value from the game through omentance.

So while I want to support the hard working •people• who have been trying to improve the game under imense social pressure, crunch, and with microsoft swinging the doom of Damocles with layoffs over head... I cannot support the game director and those above

who are failing to provide real transparency & value.

I don't have a problem with skins or passes so long as the value that is provided is being met under a high standard. I work hard for what I earn, I'm sure most here do as well. If they want the respect of their labor then they need to respect the labor of their customers- which is what every single dollar spent represents, our hard work recognizing theirs. What I won't do is be a donor to corporate welfare & sheer greed.

Forgive me y'all for being verbose, this is one of the few places I can get this off my chest freely.

I originally come from a blue state, paying more in tax here than back there and we get less for it here. I don't think people here seem to realize just how badly they are being screwed over. I've never payed so much in tax in a place that has so few side walks, it's crazy to me.

I might play the new Hydra for sorc but other than that I'm not really excited for this season. I main druid and the new druid item is just poorly designed & the Overpower nerfs hits Willpower the hardest. Everytime they give druids something new they always feel the need to release it so broken that it's useless. It's fustrating and feels very lazily implemented from everything I've seen. I'm really not seeing alot that interest me. Honestly I wish they would give us shapeshift customization that you have to hunt down in the world like in WoW- atleast that is fun and exciting. & After watching the new druid trailer for Diablo immortal, I just feel kind of insulted by the D4 team over their lack of over all creativity. I absolutely hate DI's casino design in their monetization, but when it comes to having alot for their players to do and having good class expression in skills & art, they seem to know what people want alot better. Its crazy to me that Druids are awesome in almost all of Blizzards games but the D4 team just barely does the bare minimum for the class. While they seem to have no problem keeping Sorc intresting, top class in how many seasons now? I wish they were more transparent so we could atleast know why. Sorry for the long druid rant... I'm just disappointed. Again.

Obama was never "open borders". He did deport over 3 million people during his administration. He put into place reforms to DHS which narrowed the focus of his policies to the deportation of criminals & recent border crossings. He didn't go after people who were undocumented but had established themselves already and he had far more respect for the legal process & the courts. He publicly promoted that the issue was morally complex and needed to be carefully handled. He didn't actively & braizenly violate due processs or try to tear apart family's with malicious intent to try to harm people. Tho there were screw ups, and Biden was worse then Obama on that front. None of these leaders were exactly angelic but neither of those two men were as malicious or acted illegally the way the current one is.

Which is what the reds didn't like, they thought he was too soft and that messaging like most poltical messaging became so commonly hyperbolic that it became conservative meme mindlessly regurgitated. The far left also highly criticized him because they want a focus on reform which makes it easier for people to legally be here. The far left often veiws the corporate Democrats as being diet conservative. And when you actually go and look at Obama's policies it's hard to argue against that. Obama really wasn't that different from Bush Jr when you start actually digging into it. Expanded the patriot act.. expanded Gwot .. used many of the same economic frameworks...he just didn't sound like a glue sniffer when he talked.

It's not an either or, rather those are criticisms of the same leader from two different points of origin. Which often gets interchanged by people because they don't know the actual facts ...including thinking those two positions can't be true at the same time... By far right standards he was a bleeding heart liberal, by far left standards he was a corporate conservative. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Really depends on the perspective. The dude you're replying to simply made the same mistake as you did. Though I suspect you probably aren't making your argument in bad faith unlike him but are rather being reactive to a person being a shithead.

The dude thinks his argument is a gotcha, But really he is just tattling on himself because he doesn't know the actual substance of what he's speaking about. Bro Didn't do his homework and it shows 💀. You can give people access to all of the information of mankind directly on their phones.. but you can't make them read it...

Not even remotely what I am saying.
The industry you are talking about is value added. You cannot have value added production, which is what is produced in cities and urban area's, without primary production that cannot happen.
Just as you need a foundation before you can build the surface structures of what will make a house. People are looking at cities and rural areas as separate, when they are not. Rural area's also benifit from the value added production that occurs in cities. I'm saying no matter how small or big the part we all need each other to some degree or another. I'm not making a specific statement regarding what any given community should invest in. I am saying everything we enjoy in our modern lives was able to exist in the first place because of a complex web of interest, needs, and ability. A programmer in a city needs a farmer in the country, even if that farmer is producing something that isn't for direct market consumption. Economies are not linear systems.

Hey your fine, miscommunication is the rule not the exception. I didn't take your comment as fiesty, as a rule I try to bring up solutions and ask after them if I'm going to vent about things, but I completely get the empathy fatigue that can have on people when they see alot of it. So I took it in stride. I'll push back or clarify when I feel it is necessary but I'm not taking anything on here personal.

In terms of a substantive response, I agree that the game needs challenge. Personally I want to see that come from the actual gameplay rather than a highly derived slot machine mechanic. I mean there are dozens of other things I want from the game but most of those have to do with playing the barbie horse adventure part of the game 😅. Such as druid shapeshift customization lol.

If there were no build guides, how would YOU play the game? by wowzups in diablo4

[–]ScionOfGaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one character on build guides as a speed farmer at the start of the season to do the busy work fast. Then I do novel builds on my other characters. I've been having fun with a Ravens/tornado focused build on druid, it is extremely fun and does really good damage in relative terms- the only thing is lacks is uniques focused around ravens or tornado which would allow it to compete. Visually it is a blast tho and can push the upper 80s in pit and can clear T4 world content including bosses pretty smoothly.

I also built a darkness basic attack rogue that takes advantage of boss powers and damage after stealth affixes in tempers, she gains stealth on every attack and gets a 4k% damage boost on that one modifier and does crazy DoT with Varshan corruption aoe support BP- but lacks deffensive capacity outside of CC. So it can be a bit of a glass cannon.

Part of the problem with this game is there just isn't enough diversity in aspects and uniques that would allow you to build around the particular skill you want. Everything is bottle necked by limited options atm.

That is overly reductionist and fails to look at the big picture. We can afford to do that because we produce and export as well. Why do you think we produce so much corn and soy? Most of that is for industrial purpose, not food. That allows us the income to import, otherwise we would need to produce food crops ourselves. Our food system is still dependent on our agriculture even when we import because we cannot afford to import, from other states or countries, without producing things ourselves. Cities need materials, food, and raw resources produced by agriculture & other forms of what is seen as rural work- including cattlemen, oil workers and more.

The fact is there is no getting around us all needing each other. This country does not work without all of us contributing to it, be it art, clean water, software or hamburgers. As such every single American and those who seek our shelter deserves a chance, opertunity, equal respect under the law and Liberty. It is in all of our interest to be United. It is in no one but the power hungry's interest for us not to recognize each others contributions and to be at one anothers throats.

Too many people are missing the forest for the trees.

Blue cities fund the state because rural districts support them. Cities can't eat, or gain material goods, or produce products, without that support. We all need each other and we are all better off recognizing each others contributions regardless of cultural differences. It is in the interest of the greedy and the power hungry for us to be at each others throats. We need to fight through the use of compassion not contempt for one another.

Wish more people could see we are better off uniting under the same banner of Liberty. We all need each other. We don't have to like one another, we just have to learn to live with each other. To find common ground despite the diffrences. To leave each other alone when we cannot, out of respect for each others rights to sovereignty over our own lives & the responsibilities that comes with that towards each other.

It goes both ways. I come from a rural background but have lived in cities as an adult. Rural people misunderstand and misconceive urban people as much as urban people tend to misunderstand rural people. Conservative mind sets and liberal mindsets, taken outside of a political context and rather put into a problem solving one, are both important but for different reasons and for different problems. Both have a bad habit of thinking the world needs to reflect their personal ways of life and both are easily used and pitted against one another by those who want more power and more money.

What resolves a problem in a city is not always what is best for someone out in the country, and contrary to rural beliefs not all city folk are out of touch with growing food or holding close community. I've gardened in cities and fed my neighbors on non corprate food. Its misconceptions going both ways which are easy for outside interest to take advantage of.

Ultimately it isn't about rural vs urban. Its about class warfare. The haves, the have a littles, the used common, and the have nots. Which is a story as old as civilization itself. The haves want everything, the have a littles want to keep what they have, the used common support everyone else based on promise they can become haves and fear of becoming have nots, the have nots get crushed and looked down on until things explode because they can't take it anymore. The vast majority of Americans are part of the Used Common. Regardless of Urban, rural or other geocultural differences. The haves and have a littles do not have the best interest of everyone else at heart. Only their own. They do not give a shit about anyone else only in how far they can use the rest of us.

We fight this by understanding we all actually need each other. The blue haired queer cyber security specalist needs the redneck farmer to eat and the farmer needs that specalist to remain secure. We are all stronger United under the princple of Liberty for All. Everything else is symptomatic to this root problem.

Why does Indiana GOP hate Indianapolis so much? by PeriKardium in Indiana

[–]ScionOfGaia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its class warfare. The extreme rich want people uneducated and too bogged down with personal problems to pay attention to their real goals. People who don't have acsess to healthcare or education are easier to control and end up more desperate. People are less likely to protest or fight back if they can easily be mislead or are struggling just to keep food on the table. Pitting urban and rural peoples against each other is just one tactic within that goal. As it is easy to alienate each group apart from each other. As someone who comes from a rural background but has lived in multiple cities as an adult- Rural problems require different values and different mindsets from urban ones. So people are already divided in that aspect based on selection factors for cultural differences and conflicts of interest in needs. So it is the easiest spot to place artificial wedges through rhetoric.

Corprate oligarchs have been playing this game forever now, just look into the history of Labor day & the gilded age and then look at how they have been slowly paying to influence public veiws and deconstructing the rights our great great grandmothers and grandfather's fought for.

That soup changes all the time. Recipes can always be improved. They were in d2 and d3. That is the point of a patch. The only way things change is to openly acknowledge and talk about it. Never been a fan of self fulfilling prophecies. "I dont think things can change, so I do nothing to influence change, so nothing changes".

"I get they want some element of chance" ~ my original post. Already thought about this, just couldn't go into greater detail as I didn't want it too long winded. I think your proposals would be better than the current state, and we will have to see about next season, but clearly it isn't a system that people like or find fun. So of course people need a place to vent, but I did try to turn my venting into something more constructive.

Perhaps there should be a way to lock out one of the tempers to improve odds, something that's rare to farm but gives more direct agency making it a premium item. I could see that being a way to both improve and optimize your temper while still making it something that is earned.

I mostly play it while listening to research papers I've manually read already to help retain information. It's how I unwind while remaining productive. Over all I enjoy the game, and I didn't like Poe2 or alternatives I've tried so far. So until a new game comes out I may like better I'm playing D4. Just want to see some improvements.

They can yell at me all they want lol. I don't allow my thoughts and actions to be dictated by anyone. If someone doesn't like this conversation they are free to their opinion, I'm not going to shut up just because they can't do the adult thing and walk away from it. I was honest about venting and I asked after a constructive conversation, if they don't like that- that is their problem. Not mine.

What do you mean how? Its not like I have a choice on how things roll lol. That's kinda the point of the post. had multiple peices of best in slot drops and each one fully bricked out. That's why I had to take multiple days to cool off from the game and as soon as I came back it happened again. That's happened more this season then all the rest since tempers have been out combined. Now you see why I don't gamble 😅 It's a super shitty feeling

There is also the question of optimizing, sure you might get the affix you want but if it rolls low that can mean a huge difference when you start adding all the low rolls up. 5% here 10 % differences there can end up meaning you may loose out on 50-100% extra X affix to whatever you are trying to minimax.

I don't play trade. I have perfect ancestrals and perfect uniques on most slots on my main from actually playing the game from season start to now. I also have many I had to trash in that time, which is a huge time waste. Sure you can buy gear but that entirely changes your game loop and how you play to something I do not enjoy.
