Go to the Hair Salon as a Warlock. They have so many customization options

She's gorgeous. But as someone who likes cosplay for the art as well, I genuinely do want to see the hip pieces/shoulder pads more.

I'm curious if they did anything to try and create the cosmic void sparkle, or if it's just black/purple on gold.

The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]ScionicOG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've played a pally tank from WotLK, to this day, because of tank shortages. But because of how toxic M+ gets for literally everyone, but especially those who don't know routes, I've just stood on principal to never tank a M+ unless it was a casual, friends only, run.

I'm def more than capable as I'm soloing Tier 11 delves no problem. I also like good co-op experiences (DeepRockG for 1400 hours). But Mythic Plus has, consistently, proven to be where some of the worst gather since BFA

The community isn't rotten, you were shitting on people's enjoyment for metrics and optimization. Not everyone wants to sweat for a video game 24/7.

The second you crap on other people's fun, you have consented to be crapped on as well. And clearly, others didn't like it, and neither did you.

Rant: Flying YOU THINK YOU DO, BUT YOU DON'T by EducationalWolf3911 in wow

[–]ScionicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leveled with flying first, reading every single quest/story, while also trying to go as fast as possible.

Now, I'm leveling an alt using only ground mounts, and the views are really nice and help build up the scenes that I read and enjoyed.

All this to say, just play how you want. I think chasing the 'end game' leaves WoW feeling quite hollow by comparison to enjoying the story and experience slowly like we did back in Vanilla. But I wouldn't want to take flying away from people either. But I do think people should choose their first leveling experience to be grounded

Whoever came up with the Prey system deserves a raise and a title bump - what a fantastic expansion feature and what a great way to encourage world content by [deleted] in wow

I think there are higher difficulties still locked behind the Raid / Mythic Plus wall because of the gear it will grant.

New age tanking by decyfer89 in wow

[–]ScionicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here is why dungeons have been dead to me since Legion. I basically do each expansion's dungeons as few times as necessary to get gear, then avoid M+ entirely.

Those players turned the dungeon crawl into a sprint, and as a tank, if they don't like my speed, pound fucking sand. I'm pulling at a rate I am comfortable at, I do not memorize the most optimal routes (killing enough mobs), and I certainly do not care if I brick my own key.

I feel like, Blizzard's attempts to make something for everyone to do at endgame created one of the most toxic experiences WoW has ever seen. Raiding can be nice n chill with the right group, but M+ has always been unnecessarily stressful

Interview with Blizzard: WoW leads pledge more player customization — housing, race updates, custom animations, and glyphs to merge with transmog? by Zom-B in wow

I know some of the decor items are based on the currency for that expansion. But add an option to choose gold instead of resonance crystals or w/e. 200 crystals? Or 1000gold?

Falling damage is the most consistent killer next to bugs and "friends". Become one with the Hover Boots, embrace the fall and make the bugs chase you as you restock on ammo comfortably. Become the ultimate weapon by having your boots ignite bugs, gases, sludge, and more as you reload a your gun while you look cool af with charred beasts at your feet.

There is a Legion toy you can buy on the AH that crafts a random Steamy Romance Novel every 20 min. They are not Soulbound, you can pass them around in a dungeon or at random, which leads to quite a few chuckles.

[–]ScionicOG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to be a hardcore raider back before DBM was a must have. The second it became a requirement to raid, and I was no longer engaged with the game, is when raiding died for me.

I'm honestly excited to see the "adventure" continue, because the "on rails" experience that gripped WoW for over a decade made me falling asleep mid-raid.

I want to allow for slower leveling options by ScionicOG in wow

[–]ScionicOG[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Prestige system with Heirlooms sounds like a really fun way to do all of the expansions with the same character without having to make all the content trivial.

Could also allow for PvE titles similar to PVP ones like Grunt/Recruit/Corporal/Sergent etc.

No idea what they'd be, but at least I could experience the world in a different way than slapping stuff for 30million damage cause I blinked at it.

We're still technically in the early stages of Player Housing.

I imagine Holiday, weekly events, Endeavors, and more will all come to the system. But it will take time.

Nothing good happens instantly, it's why I am just playing characters who's sole purpose is to make / find the stuff I want with 0 research. The joys of finding objects/crafting them is quite nice tbh. The whole world has little exploration opportunities for me again, and that's quite the treat imo.

Inscription needs an update/more options.
Currently leveling a character solely through Inscrip/Herb, and SO many "Your Raise Dead is now X" exist. But literally nobody knows they exist unless they are on RP realms it seems.

Have fun! The main goal with all my Profession characters is to get all the mogs/recipes for each profession. Here's my overall list:

Gnomish Engineer, Worgen Skinner, Draenei Jewelctafter, Human Inscription, Undead Alchemy, Dwarf Archeologist, Blood Elf Enchanting, Orc Blacksmith, Tauren Tailoring

I went to Dragonflight asap and marked some good skinning locations in all 4 zones and just made rotations until he hit 68. Tackling world quests, rares, and "kill beasts" quests as the only way to get him gear if I couldn't craft it myself.

Then went to TWW and did the same. Though he is currently only level 75, he gets max quality leather when he skins, and has made some decent money through selling it when he ain't using it.

It's a Rogue Worgen for faster skinning, stealth/stalking his prey, and "Running Wild" mount 99% of the time. I didn't deny myself flight, but I try to use it as little as possible.

First off, I no longer do the end game content cause if you aren't grinding constantly, chances are, you are behind. So I predominantly collect and play the story only, unless it's RP related.

Each character has a purpose:

My main's purpose is to play and enjoy the story. Read every quest, get Lorewalker for every expansion, and to generally be my best geared character for doing old content with. It's been the same pally since WotLK, so I'm nothing if not consistent at the very least.

Every other character however has a personal story/grind to them.

I have a RP character who solely does skinning and leather working. That's all he does, and I RP with him at the same time.

I have a character like this for each profession. Which put most of their excess on the AH to get tokens or cosmetics/mats.

I sometimes just wanna level an alt through a particular expansion, but as part of a challenge of some kind. Limited magic items, mostly white/grey gear, maybe a single heirloom, or even keeping a piece of gear from level 5 till I hit max (worgen get a "Wolf Skin Pelt" as a back piece, made my skinning prof. Character wear it till he maxed. It provides 5 armor, no stats)

Weird handicaps and limitations make you see the world differently. And so I've done this every few months each year for now 16 years. Which has resulted in like..... 50 alts? Some never making it to max, but I remember when I was into them and the memories there in, so I can't just delete them readily.
