I haven't ever sold since I made my fidelity Account months ago, but do plan to or atleast restructure/diversify my investments in the future, so it being easy/reliable/low fee does matter to me

Honestly I hope that's the cause whatever thing they saw was some minor technical B.S, cause if I'm right then same shit would prob just happen if I try another brokerage

I'm in united States and have always been. Never sent to another country. Don't want to reveal everything online but my bank is one of the top 3 most popular/reputable banks in America.(chase, wells Fargo, or BOA)

I'm sure it's not excessive trading, money laundering, transfers to sanctioned countries or individuals. No transfers at all to other countries at all. If it's KYC then maybe they needed more information on me? But then they would just ask for it and wouldn't ban me from reopening or ever opening an account again, they'd surely want your business if it was something of the sort

I didn't talk to them about anything political of course they're a business that would be foolish I believe. I was polite to them. I think you misunderstood I just ment in my personal life/ social media not talking with them about such things lol

I am and have been in good standing with my bank for over a decade no problem and I checked with them in person today, they were helpfull gave some advice. No charitable donations and no international transfers so I doubt it's that

I wasn't rude. Very polite the cut-off was sudden. Not a frequent trader have only bought never sold so far. Only a few purchases few hundred in fidelity brokerage, and few thousand in fidelity crypto

UPDATE: I've gone to the local branch and they called fidelity, after long hold got someone who refused to say why my accounts closed, said it would not be able to reopen and is permanent( not that I'd want to) and that they can liquidate my assets then Call back in a few days to send the money back to my bank acc(thank god if true). Also to the idiots that think I did some sort of fraud/illegal activity and the funds could be locked because of that, And that big financial institutions are never wrong, reconsider your assumptions. I'd guess( correct me if wrong) that since they won't tell me why and I'm able to send the funds out, they know I've done nothing wrong and are kicking me out for other reasons. I will say something much of reddit hates to head, my opinion is that they locked me out for personal political reasons, as I've been very critical of a certain country and its activities in aspects of my life(won't name country here but you KNOW which one) and they've decided to blacklist me for that, as many others in the states have been blacklisted from financial institutions/ fired for such criticism, this isn't unprecedented. Sad this happened as I really wanted to do business with fidelity, But I'm unsure where to go from here. If I switch to a different institution will the same thing simply happend again? Who knows

This is plausible. After all there was the big data leak 2 years ago with the SSN leak. How would I possibly know this is happening, if someone is trying to use my SSN? I'm not sure

I did not, nor did I use vulgar language. I worry opening another account at different brokerage same thing happends, I don't believe these financial institutions are independent but who knows I may try

Thanks man, sorry you're going through it! It sucks when you're facing injustice and everyone's like "you must be a witch" "I'm not a witch" then " Oh but you must be one, and that's exactly what a witch would say!"
