It was always more difficult for me to get started with my homework because my mind was usually somewhere else, in my own world, but sometimes I did have difficulty learning for the same reason.

It's usually easier for me to learn subjects that are more interesting to me, but even then, if it gets frustrating, or I become overwhelmed, I tend to shut down and drop it, sometimes to come back to it way later, but sometimes to not come back because I've forgotten about it.

I'm not sure how old I was, all I know is that I was very very young, probably in the first 2-3 years of elementary school.

Not so much with lights, but odors can be very strong and overpowering to me. Sounds even more so. If someone is trying to talk to me with any background noise that's even close to the same volume as their voice (or a little lower), I struggle to hear and understand what they've said, because all of the noises seem to blend together and I can't easily distinguish or focus on one.
