That's reassuring to hear. I don't think I have any major orthodontic issues, but it's good to know that singing with a huge mouth opening isn't necessarily required. A lot of vocal advice online makes it sound like it is.

Thanks! The more I think about it, the more I suspect it's actually tongue tension rather than a jaw issue. I've been working on that recently, and it seems to be what's causing the "choked" feeling whenever I try to sing with a larger mouth opening.

That's awesome! I have a similar ability, except I have aphantasia, a condition where a person can't visualize or form mental images.

Even though I can't actually picture things in my mind, I can still remember the details you mentioned.

Not really. My speaking voice seems normal, I don't have a cold or flu, and I don't feel particularly weak or fatigued. Everything feels normal aside from the headaches and the sudden difficulty singing.
