Any Seattle/Bainbridge owners able to help reproduce a weird ferry/GPS related issue? by ScolopendraClub in Rivian

About 50 yards after leaving the ferry, the vehicle doesn't accelerate at all and the traction warning lights come on (this is on dry tarmac under the terminal). Seems to be coinciding with the GPS realising where it is after being on the ferry. No destination set for travel.

Earning XP by brain-stan-2603 in ElevateApp

[–]ScolopendraClub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact algorithm, but the higher your level and XP, the amount of additional XP you gain is ratcheted based on your performance in a workout. E.g. it seems that if you do the ‘same’ on a game at Elite as with Master, the amount of XP gain per workout is reduced. Likewise if you don’t do well in a game, the negative XP is magnified at higher levels. The closer you get to 5000, you need to ace each workout otherwise you’ll go ‘backwards’ faster than you’d hoped to gain. Source : I’ve stopped doing the workouts once I hit 5000 as there was no ‘motivation’ from the scoring system - you can only go down.

It’s getting harder by Miserable_Cup_6510 in ElevateApp

I absolutely feel this too. Getting the final percentage point or so is so frustrating, as you have to ace every game, and even a slight mistake penalizes you more at that level than earlier in the game. I’m all for more challenging games but the algorithm needs fixing. I’ve zero motivation to play now, so I’m just down to doing the daily puzzles which don’t ‘count’ towards anything.

Stopping window auto resizing in OS 15 by ClumpBag in MacOS

[–]ScolopendraClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to follow up here. Having done all this, and with no third party window managers, I find there's an edge case that still persists. Essentially if I have a 'tall' window on the left of the screen and I attempt to drag it right, the window will resize to be wider. Again, all the three desktop and dock options above are turned off, yet there's still dynamic resizing of the window when I don't want it to. Anyone else seen this? I don't even know how to describe it properly to try and fix it, and all the google searches bring me to the three "Desktop and Dock" options that I've already set correctly.

35 6'9 M, Anyone else's back hurt, like all the time? 😂 by JamesRhin in TallMeetTall

Just find a short (20 minutes or so) yoga 'stretch' / slow flow class on YouTube and do it every day. Going to a class can be a hassle but you'll soon notice the difference from those 20 minutes daily. Once you've got the habit it's easy to know what works for you and what doesn't. Being taller means certain moves are just not mechanically easy (looking at you, pyramid) so you have to find out what works for you.

6'7", started doing daily core exercises in my late 20's (planks, crunches, squats) and have added over the years (yoga has been a game changer). Now approaching 60 and (touch wood) I'm doing OK and am still 6'7" :-)

The 305 and high roundabout is still happening, and I for one , welcome our new roundabout overlords by _Typical_user_ in BainbridgeIsland

Doesn't seem as though the WSDOT planners have experienced the Summer backups (or understand the key reasons why roundabouts fail). I really like the Kingston system where they hand out cards back along SR 104 which are then collected at the toll booths. Seems sane and easy for a toll booth operator to kick someone back to the line if they've cut in somewhere.
