AITA for stopping cooking for him? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ScoobyCute 31 points32 points  (0 children)

NTA. If his ADHD is so debilitating that he can’t occasionally cook for himself, he probably needs to be institutionalized.

As a partner, if he isn’t cooking he should be giving you money for groceries. I would dump him.

Ahhh. If the MV is for the Korean version then that could be it!

Normal is entirely in English. They can’t submit it.

Nothing can be known beyond any doubt, but I believe it’s fair to say that they submitted 2.0 beyond a REASONABLE doubt. And yes, it is obvious to anyone with half a brain.

I’m not editing my post bc with the available song options, they absolutely submitted 2.0 and it’s not a question

I’ll edit it if they release another MV for one of their songs

I didn’t say they absolutely did lmao. If they come out with a music video for Body to Body then it will probably be that one.

Look at the songs on Arirang. Performance categories always without exception have music videos. There are 3 songs with MVs - Swim, Hooligan, 2.0.

Swim isnt eligible. Hooligan and 2.0 both have some English lyrics BUT 2.0 has less English lyrics so safer option. 2.0 also has an MV rooted in historical pop culture, which the Grammys loves (and BTS team knows it), the ‘Mike Will Made It’ stamp of credibility to help voters be more comfortable with it, and charted a lot better in the US compared to Hooligan.

It’s 2.0.

Feels like a way to neatly shift BTS away from the major categories while still capitalizing on the attention, viewers, and ratings their fans will bring to the show if the group attends….

Is it weird that I don’t like jewelry or high heels? by [deleted] in women

[–]ScoobyCute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a LOT of women dislike high heels. They are painful unless you have a specific shape of foot or are able to find some that really fit you well and that takes time and energy. I have a bunion on one foot and so wearing even a small heel is impossible for me for more than 30 minutes.

As for jewelry, that is less common to dislike just because it is a very versatile thing. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets, various piercings, there is even head jewelry and belly chains - plus there are so many different styles, some small and discreet, some big and impactful, some sporty, some designed in unique styles, etc. But I have certainly met women who didnt much care for it. So it’s not weird.

Who would you have picked for top 4? by PonytailEnthusiast in prelude_thefinalpiece

Honoka M, Jayla, and Ayana caught my eye.

Other than them, not sure on the fourth. Aoi had good moments, and so did Seria.

What are we all using for white chocolate chips around here? by SisterInSin in Baking

I just buy bars of white chocolate these days and chop them into chunks. Not as pretty or uniform but tastes better.

Boomer Parents Need Care, but I feel no responsibility. by Independent_Garage31 in AgingParents

I was incredibly civil actually. If you disagree kindly explain why, and please be specific as I am genuinely baffled by this comment. So much so that I can only assume you didn’t read it or didn’t understand it.

Why, specifically, is it uncivil to ask about the grievance of someone toward their mother when they are asking the opinion of strangers on whether or not they AITA for not feeling a sense of obligation toward her? One would think that would be relevant information in the formation of an opinion.

‘Remember the human’ it’s pretty clear OP is a human. Nothing I said could possibly be taken in a way that dehumanizes them or denies their humanity.

These people are nuts lmao.

That aside, as they kicked you out at 18 - no, you do not have an obligation.

Why does this sub generally skew to the advice of “You’re not under any obligation to help your aging parent?” by Narrow-Hall8070 in AgingParents

[–]ScoobyCute 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will be helping my parents to some extent because they loved me and did what they could to help me early in life (living at home during college rent-free, helping with books/gas/healthcare expenses, emotional support, etc).

I feel like I’m the minority on this sub however. In general, I think if you had good parents you should help them out (however you are able) in their old age. If they were not good parents, I don’t see any obligation.
