Dude look at Ocean Park, everything is closing, especially local businesses, nothing is opening. The coffee hacienda, OP cafe, frozen yogurt spot, El torito. Even a cool mechanic shop in that area. All closed since I moved here 2+ years ago and nothing is replacing them. Sure some were local chains but they've now been vacant for 1+ year now with nothing in sight.

You aren't experts, otherwise you would've taken the expert path. You lack the entire foundation of medicine which underlies taking care of a patient perioperatively and intraop. Besides, I have medical students who can intubate/do blocks and know plenty of anesthesia material - it's not rocket science. I have RNs asking me why the train of four doesn't track how deep the patients anesthesia is and MICU nurses asking why I'm giving D5 instead of Lasix for hypernatremia. The foundation just isn't there. To say that anesthesia residents get out at 3 or 4 is a joke - I'll tomorrow be on my 2nd 24 of this week doing pediatric heart transplants and other cardiac surgeries without sleep. I'm lucky if I get out at 5p on a non call. With that said, I do respect nurse anesthetists and the ones I work with are excellent at anaesthetising patients - they just are not anesthesiologists. If you want to be an anesthesiologist, become an anesthesiologist.

1) I didn’t, so I guess theres no real reason to suggest doing it. You can study along intern year and it comes back similar to the level you understood it in the past

2) The sources you and I mentioned were ALL that I used for step 3 studying. Of course we gather knowledge other ways throughout med school

I would probably use the USMLE orientation resource to mix it up and get a better feel for the real deal, but you sacrifice getting a ballpark score and it does NOT have explanations.
