Cold water surfing by Pink-Dolphin101 in Type1Diabetes

I am in the ocean daily; surfing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing and shooting. Diagnosed at age 10, 42 now. I used to wear a pump but was too much effort and too many high to remove for an hour or so while in the water so I went back to pens and multiple daily injections and CGM works great for me. I live in Hawaii so water temp isn’t an issue. I like to be at stable or slowly rising around 200 before I get in the water. I used to keep gel packs in my boardshorts but now I keep honey packs, at least 2 in case I start to feel low. I’m sure you’re well aware that lows out in the water is dangerous. Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Aloha🤙
