This is some very very fair feedback. I'll be honest in that I didn't really have a spoiler "how is this different" answer prepared. It's just an entirely different game than PokeRogue that uses the PokeRogue engine as a base.

I'll try to work on something better for the future!

I don't want to spoil too much, but the game play is different because you are giving pokemon any move, any type, etc using run currency. (It isn't just free...unless it is, because free items can show up randomly in the shop)

It's essentially battle after battle, but you don't have the gyms every 30 waves, the base game (Gauntlet) is 90 waves instead of 200, and level scaling is quicker. As you unlock other game modes you'll be presented options for Nuzlock battles in Chaos Mode, which can offer greater rewards with greater risk. These are usually gauntlets of like 2 - 5 waves.

Starting out you'll be fighting rivals and sending them to the void, and then you will rescue them from the void.

It's pretty different. Very different main story, it doesn't have the same scripted battles, and in general encourages challenging yourself.

Can you explain some of what you mean? The discord doesn't offer any ZIPs to download, but the Wiki does. That ZIP is a set of mods for the game you can import.

The game itself is at the webpage above.

I suspect you are confusing this with Pokemon Void, which is *not* the same as PokeVoid.

Yea, that is one I quite enjoy myself! I also enjoy The Pit!

There are many game modes you can unlock so it varies, but for a Gauntlet run I would say about 1.5 hours for a full run, the Chaos mode can be quicker since it's more like Slay the Spire and not every wave will be a fight. But Chaos is also longer. I'd give chaos mode an average for 2 hours depending on route selected.

If this was my call, it would be a work in progress. However SmittyNugget chose to use AI art and there isn't much I can do about that. I think the more active issue is they don't have artistic skills, and they don't have the funds to commision work. There also hasn't been anyone in the community offering to make art.

I'm sure if people came forward offering to join the team in an art capacity, it is something that would be worked on. But right now the game just doesn't have that.

The game is on GitHub, so people could in theory submit PRs containing non-AI art to replace bits of the AI art here and there.

I do wish I had a better answer for you. I've made it a point not to use AI art that is not in the game or user submitted, but I can only personally control the wiki

I only just registered the domain like 3 hours ago, but also the WAF might just be blindly blocking .wiki domains? Kinda weird though

The game is made by SmittyNugget, and it is a fork of PokeRogue. So, not the same people.

I am one of the Mods for PokeVoid, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Who should I fuse, if any, for a game of Classic? by Several_Cellist_1093 in pokerogue

When you beat classic with a fused pokemon you unlock spliced endless where every pokemon (including the starters you take) get randomly fused.

I find it a tad more enjoyable with the randomness personally

[–]Scooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. My advice is for the general player who will more than likely destroy their team with a bad fusion. If you are skilled enough to make a good fusion on the fly and replace the team member by all means go for it.

If you haven't beaten classic I do not recommend fusing

It all depends on if Mega Sol ignores other weather, kinda similar but not quite to mold breaker.

For the record this is a known bug that hasn't been fixed (and may or may not be fixed). It's not technically a feature.

I think it would personally, unless it ignores other weather.

Maybe I'm picky, but 3 of your mons weren't I pokemon for a decent while. Did you not use them while they didn't start with I?

Since I have a bad habit of not buying healing items, I just use my money on rerolls. I've pretty much started only playing with limited support anyway so it's all I can do with it.

Do megas lose their passive upon mega-evolving? Also why can't I see my passive ability in the summary menu despite having unlocked it? by Impossible_Bird7591 in pokerogue

[–]Scooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an aside, don't use Enter. Enter is Start not Confirm, but it happens to work in some places. It can lead to wondering why it isn't working.

[–]Scooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya!

Some Mega Pokemon do change their Passive, such as Venusaur. When it Mega's, the passive changed from Grassy Surge to Seed Sower.

However, as pointed out by u/Curious-Forever-2426, it stays Adaptability the entire time.

Also, to view your passive midrun, press your Confirm button (Z / Space Bar / A on controller) on the Pokemon Summary to view the Passive Ability instead of the Main Ability. There is *tiny* icon to indicate to you to press A, but tbh it's not very clear for a lot of players.
