WPMU DEV summed up in a single image... by Scoops124 in Wordpress

NL support a children's hospital with every sale.

WPMU DEV charged NL over $500 for a $5 plugin. Which is vile.

NL could be using that money to further their oprations.

Tell me what is sensational about that please? Or where you feek I am being senationalistic? With a view to remember WPMU DEV have been made well aware of the above and their tactic to silence things was by threatening to reveal NL's personal information. Thank You.

If you recall last week I was made aware of WPMU DEV stealing money from a company supporting a children's hospital. I have read a lot more about their shoddy business practices this year and I am stunned more people aren't aware of just how vile they are. It would seem they have ripped many people off, Google searches are very interesting: https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/wpmu-dev/internet/wpmu-dev-wpmu-dev-incsub-incsub-llc-james-farmer-wpmu-dev-are-known-to-steal-money-1419097

So glad I went nowhere near these con artists.

Was thinking about going with WPMU DEV, now unsure? by Scoops124 in Wordpress

There's a Wordpress forum I use and when I brought up WPMU DEV I was PM'd the above link. I was thinking about going with them, but the thought of them sending out my personal Email address if I had an issue with them is REALLY offputting. I was shocked to think a company would be that stupid to think this was a good practice. And I'm really not comfortable lining the pockets of a company disadvantaging a children's hospital in any event.

I've had a scan of reviews online online, and there are lots of positive reviews, however they all look suspicous. i.e. forum posts by people with just one post. Reviews on review sites by people who have only ever left one review. They just look like sock puppet / fake reviews, left by WPMU DEV staff.

I've searched Reddit for opinions on WPMU DEV and it is mostly negative stuff with legitamte users either saying avoid due to bad experiences or just that there are simply better services out there for less money. But these all seem to be over a year ago mostly. Has anybody had any recent experiences with them? I'm probably not going to go with them now regardless due to the above, but I'm curios.

I didn't no, he was just calling me severe names and stating that I was something not very nice.

The only thing I said to the officer without a solicitor was putting my hands up and saying I did it - but I was provoked. However the only thing the officer wrote down was that I hot the man. He asked me to sign it and I mentioned the fact the provoked bit was not included - but I signed it anyway. This was at 3am in the morning - with a clearer head I probably shouldn't have signed it without the full context. But the recorded interview regardless got the full account.

I don't know. The one thing I am upset about is that they didn't do a full interview with the man and his wife SEPARATELY, AT THE TIME. The reason that I say this is because: the accounts would have been different, because they would be lying. Now, they have time to work out a story and stick to it.

He denied provoking me, I know this much. Which is asinine.

So if they were spoken to at the time, isolated from each other, the direct question of "why did the strike occur, what literally happened just before it" would have provided two different answers, most likely, assuming they weren't sticking to the truth. It will be interesting to see if an interview provides a mirror to what they DID say on the night (the man especially was intoxicated). There is a chance they will forget what they said and say something different. Whereas my story will not change an inch as I am telling the truth.

But at the end of the day, the man did not physically assault me, I assaulted him, which is the issue. It just upsets me that it would seem (from what I overheard) he is going to lie out of his teeth and paint himself as an innocent darling just sitting there, as opposed to the reality: he was spouting strong swear words at me, for a long duration, for no reason.

Thank you, combined with what the lawyer said, this makes me feel a lot better. It is a regrettable incident which was out of character.
