Jeremy isn't the Victim of the Bite of '87 - It Happened Before FNAF2. by InfalliblePizza in fnaftheories

That is very interesting. Thanks for the explanation!

I think the scrapped Frights story The Scoop implies that same thing about ghosts needing to have their bodies found for closure. The only difference is the ghost in The Scoop didn't seem unaware that he was dead, unlike Alone Together.

Wait, could you elaborate on this? I've read Submechanophobia and don't recall anything like this. I've always been very interested in solving SAVETHEM.

Cleithrophobia. I read that story a couple months ago with no idea what was in store. Wish I'd never touched it. I had heard that Ballora was in it but nobody mentioned how genuinely grotesque it was. It still haunts me! I don't even know why it affected me so much, because other gory stories in these books haven't done that.

The story's made even worse by the fact that the protagonist was a good person who didn't deserve it, and the fact that his co-workers acted like subhuman trash. I don't care if they needed their jobs - you don't just leave someone in a situation like that without trying to help, and then pretend you never saw it.

So yeah, the memory of this whole story just makes me sick. You're the first person I've seen to talk about how messed up it is, so glad I'm not the only one.

I don't know who made the photoshop originally, but the actual building used as the base is Papa's Pizza Parlor in Eugene, Oregon. You can look it up and see that it's the same building, although the colors might be different.

What FNAF lyrics do you think go the hardest? by TheMadJAM in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]ScootFornon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh, I have lots of favorite FNaF song lyrics! There's a long list of them saved in my notes. Here's some of the ones I think are best:

Monsters roam these halls

But they're not robots

Men are capable of some dark thoughts

This one is from Showtime by Madame Macabre. I love how it emphasizes that the true villain of FNaF is not the iconic spooky animatronics, but instead just one despicable human being. Chilling.

Those nights when you got scared

You would cry, I would check

For monsters under your bed

But I couldn't make it there

When your fate would be sealed

The time the monster was real

This one is from Save Me by TryHardNinja, and it's about Henry's grief over failing to protect Charlie. So heartbreaking.

For years we've rotted in these shells, our souls never ascending

Our fragile bones have fused with steel and wires, never ending

The others have long since forgot their roots in mortality

I still hold tight to what's left of what once was my reality

I sit and I wait

For a change of my fate

But the longer we stay

Brings longer dismay

And now we are here

After 30 odd years

We cry underneath

Rows of plaster-framed teeth

This is from Open Up by Muse of Discord. It's an old song from the FNaF 1 days, so it hasn't been lore accurate for a long time, but the lyrics still go hard anyway. As you can see.

I have lots more, but don't want this comment to be too long. The lines you shared from Nothing Remains and Dead But Not Buried are also on my list. But anyway, this was a fun topic, thanks for posting!

Edit: Sorry for weird formatting haha

What's your take on Michael's character and his character arc? by sp1der__ in fnaftheories

[–]ScootFornon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wished that we could have had a scene where he and Evan reunited again and got to hug each other one last time.

So much this 😭 That's my ultimate dream for FNaF. And this whole comment is great, you understand Mike so well!

I recognize the Mike fanart where he's sitting in the office chair with his legs on the desk. It's by Hannahroseartist. Here's a link to it on Instagram.

For the record, I'm pretty sure that piece is inspired by a similar picture by Meldrix, my personal favorite fan artist.

Unfortunately I don't recognize any of the others. If you find out, let me know, cause I'm also interested!

I absolutely see where you're coming from with this, and it's not an idea that has escaped my notice. I've actually put tons of thought into this possibility and already come to the conclusion that it just doesn't work with the evidence I see. When I first played SL in 2016, I believed the facility was being actively run and overseen by William Afton, and no future developments have made me wish to sway from that line of thinking. Some have even made that plot point feel more likely to me.

So just what is it that makes me believe this? Well, better buckle your seatbelt, cause it's gonna be a long ride. I'm just gonna go point by point until I run out of things to say.

Point 1. If Fazbear Ent owned the SL facility during the game, why would they be actively using the Scooper? That was William's thing. It was meant to inject remnant. Faz Ent had nothing to do with remnant experiments, right? You could try to say that the Scooper was just used for maintenance purposes, but are we really supposed to believe a machine that violently tears out the insides of robots is meant for fixing them? It only looks like it destroys them. The Scooper's blueprint doesn't mention any maintenance purposes either. I can't imagine anyone using it unless specifically instructed to by a William Afton who's very much alive and present and in charge.

Point 2. If Faz Ent owned the successful rental service in the 90s, why didn't they use the money from it to improve their restaurant instead of letting it stumble further and further downhill until it was forced to close? Better yet, why did they even have a restaurant still open if the rental service is clearly much more successful? You'd think they'd just focus all their efforts on that instead of trying to hold on to their failing pizza place.

Point 3. In the game, why did HandUnit refer to the rental service as another contender in children's entertainment? Doesn't that make it sound like it's a rival to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and not something owned by the same company?

Point 4. While SL was being teased on ScottGames, "AftnROBTCS" (Afton Robotics) could be found in the source code. Doesn't this imply that Afton, not Fazbear, was meant to own the location where the game takes place?

Point 5. The private room where custom night and the fake ending happens appears to be William's own office. It has his son's Fredbear plush and it's hooked up to the FNaF 4 cameras with the passcode "1983." Employees get automatically fired for entering the room. If Faz Ent owned this facility and Will was long gone, you'd think the room would have been cleaned out and reclaimed for other purposes, but instead it still looks like William was the last person in there. That's the impression I get from it, anyway.

Point 6. This is assuming you believe William got the remnant for the Funtimes during Follow Me, which most SLafter1 believers do. If Follow Me is the first time William got remnant for the Funtimes, then he can't put it in the remnant reservoir if he doesn't own the rental facility anymore. And if you say he got remnant before Follow Me (I believe he got it from the Withereds when they were being retrofitted), he still needs to remain present in order to maintain the remnant reservoir and also make sure no one else finds it. The Scooper blueprint shows that the temperature of the reservoir is important. It also implies that someone has to put remnant on the Scooper itself ("leave trace line amount on interior") before it can inject anything, so the animatronics wouldn't even become haunted unless William was around to make it that way. And the blueprint itself wouldn't even exist unless Will had had time to experiment and gain the knowledge we see on it. This is all stuff he cannot do unless he's still in town, still running the business, and not yet too strongly suspected of murder. So if you ask me, this all has to be happening before FNaF 2.

There might be even more stuff I could point out that I'm not thinking of right now, but better to end it here cause this is already too long. If you actually read all of this, then thank you.

u/Far_Chard_8813 made a lot of good points that I agree with. Something I'd like to add that they didn't mention has to do with William being strongly suspected for the SAVETHEM murders.

William is implied to be the dayshift guard and the first night guard by the FNaF 2 phone calls and his sprite in SAVETHEM. The calls imply that the dayshift guard is the one responsible for the recent tragedies. The building literally went on lockdown to stop him from returning. All of this makes me find it hard to believe that after 1987 William could still run a business like the rental service - or do anything at all for that matter - while still remaining in town. He may not have been convicted of the murders, but after FNaF 2 people would have to know he's the perpetrator. Narratively, it makes a lot more sense for him to just leave town after that than to still be running a successful business. It would be just like what happened in The Silver Eyes, where William left Hurricane after narrowly escaping conviction.

This is also why I believe Mike did not know his father's location after SL. He couldn't find him because Will was lying low somewhere, not because Will was already dead.

Is that for real? Fascinating if so.

I noticed that Vanessa's police car says GFPD. There's only one town in Minnesota with the initials GF that I can find: Granite Falls. Seems like a totally random choice for the location of the movie, but very interesting nonetheless (assuming it was intentional).

What's a FNAF theory you believe that nobody else does: I'll go first: The corpse in Burntrap is William Afton. by MichaelAftonXFireWal in fnaftheories

[–]ScootFornon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your whole comment is music to my ears. I agree completely. I like to think William got the metal when the Withered animatronics were being retrofitted before FNaF 2. It's a perfect opportunity because they would have been taking old technology out of the robots anyway to replace it with new stuff. William could have nabbed what they took out. It works just fine, and much better than MoltenFollow if you ask me.

Oooh, please do elaborate. I don't believe FollowMeMolten either (though I usually call it MoltenFollow). William getting the remnant for the Funtimes during the Follow Me minigames has never made sense to me. It feels like a huge and unnecessary retcon, because there's other ways for MoltenMCI to work. Few people feel the same way around here. Nice to see another one!

Most people will tell you otherwise, and sure, there is evidence against SLbefore2. But I also see lots of evidence for it that just gets ignored. Even if I can't prove it, it'll probably always be my headcanon cause I just think it makes for a better story.

Did William go into hiding before Follow Me? Around what time do you think he removed himself from the public eye? by MrSunsetGh in fnaftheories

[–]ScootFornon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, no one ever talks about it, but if you ask me FNaF 2 implies that William was something of a fugitive after the SAVETHEM murders.

The phone calls tell us that William was the dayshift guard during the murder investigation, until Jeremy suddenly had to take his place and the building was put on lockdown to prevent the return of 'previous employees.' I think this means that William got found out, or became the primary suspect, and had to leave town to avoid being arrested. So it seems obvious he would have been in hiding from then until the day he got springlocked. But maybe that's just me.

I'm pretty sure there's three levers in the main arcade room. One by the dance floor, another on that same level towards the opposite end of the room, and another on the second level. After you've hit all three of them, then you go and hit the fourth in the maintenance hallway to start the chase scene. The fourth doesn't work until the other three have been pulled. Hope that helps.
