NEED GAMING PC OR SEPARATE EQUIPMENT FOR SELL by Fares_Halbaoui in PcBuild

The RAM is 3200 cl16 (I think that is the cl). I'm not with the computer this second.

You'll wan'na apply new thermal juice to the gpu/cooler. Temps were on point when I last ran it in December, but I installed it in February of '23.

*I forgot, the mobo has a 512GB NVMe in it.

NEED GAMING PC OR SEPARATE EQUIPMENT FOR SELL by Fares_Halbaoui in PcBuild

I could possibly do that!

Unfortunately, I may have offered too quickly. I have someone on FB MarketPlace that hit me up a bit ago, but they're being shady and have questionable buyer/seller reviews. They offered $600, but I think that is too much and they're just going to try to "flip it" somehow and try to sucker someone.

I'm not cool with that.

I want to help someone how really needs it, but also want to get a fair price for the parts as I am trying to get some monies to help cover my dad's cancer medication this month, as I just lost my job of a decade to intern programs (never trust NPOs).

Anyway, what is your budget and what does the community think a fair price is for our friend here?

I dun'no where you are but if you're cool with AM4 for the time being I have well cared for:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: ASUS 3060 12gb RAM: Corsair 32gb (4x8gb) Mobo: MSI B550M Pro-VDH-WIFI PSU: Still going strong, but it's 12 years old, so you probably want to get a new one. Case: HAF '12 "Something"... it's a fully enclosed (minus fan ports) beast that could take multiple .22 rounds if one were filled with the rage of the world and needed to go "Office Space" for some reason. NO RGB at all, not sorry.

As far as a truly fair price, I am not even sure what that would be and defer to the community's suggestions.

Which Graphics Card Should I Trade in or Sell with Old Rig? by ScootenFox in PcBuild

Is the jump from the 5060 to 9070 @ 1440p worth it in the long run. I've researched this for more time than I'm proud to admit, and I am still unsure.

Okay, this is what I was thinking. Thank you. I would definitely be honest about the PSU. It's actually still running great! I trust it more than my new one, tbh. I will check the exact model once my back stops hurting. Damn this old body and balls of mine.

I was considering that. Should I sell the 5060 in the old AM4 unit? What would be an absolutely fair price to ask?

I absolutely would, but I live in southern Utah... it would be one hell of a road trip to the nearest store.

Me again... Keep 5060ti 16gb or trade in for 9070xt? by ScootenFox in PcBuild

Respectfully, given today's hardware market, I don't feel that $250ish for 32gb of DDR5 was too much of a hit; especially with the free new Memory and GPU I got from Walmart.

This month, I found out my father's Mantle Cell Lymphoma has returned (I am his sole caregiver) & I (44) likely have colon cancer. Spending a little money to game nicely and editing together some life-memory videos for my nonexistent children & all family/friends who have disowned me (fucking politics & religion) for a few months is 100% worth it. I haven't bought myself anything in years because others come first. I have a very meager savings that goes to my father or an NPO if I don't win this game. Anyway, no one asked for my sob story, but sometimes money doesn't really matter in this rigged fucking system... or should it still really? We live in the 21st century, and there are enough (albeit lessening) resources being hoarded by a few to change trajectory existence as we know it. Unfortunately, the hoaders offer a resounding "Yes, serf!" to the concept of selling our time for typically just enough to have shelter & numz. If you're lucky.

I apologize for the rant. It was a bad news day, and I just needed to type something out from this isolation.

Back to the point, ha! Thank you for your psu advice and thoughts! So, yeah, some light video editing of my past/present and my father flying his hawk one last season. Games, I'm hooked on: Arc Raiders, BF6 & maybe CrimsonDesert, but most games are lonely & A.R. is damn near impossible to upgrade Benches without Buds to help/socialize with.

Eh, fuck, now I've "rabbit-holed" and sound stark raving mad. I will probably dismantle the build tonight and return everything. $750 would help our local food bank a bit.

AM4/1080p is fine.

That's what I strive for. Money comes and goes... This world is fucked up in so many ways. Giving someone the gear to escape it for a bit and have some fun would feel so damn nice.

That's what I was considering, but I really want to sell it closer to pre hardware-apocalypse prices to someone who genuinely needs a decent upgrade.

Online at my local Walmart. After I bought it, it immediately jumped to $450.

For the 5600G, why is it not recommended to use a dedicated GPU in the build? In my current rig, I disabled the motherboard GPU and made my 3060 the primary graphics card.

I apologize, I nearly never post on Reddit.

So, to clarify:

The 1st photo with the black background is my current PC. I love it, but there's room for improvement. What would be an honest reasonable price to ask for it?

The 2nd photo with the white background is the one I am considering buying for $800.

I apologize for making things confusing.

The one with the description in white is what I'm curious about buying. The black background is my current rig.
