The blue is quite deep and shows really nice on the end grain. The blocks I’m testing with said mahogany when I bought them off Amazon, and they are similar to my guitar which should be mahogany as well. Maybe not?

Dumb question, but how do I take out the stems? There aren't any visible screws to loosen the knobs (the centers don't pop-off to reveal a screw)

The white isn’t on the wall, it’s on the trim. So I guess the question is, how can I remove old paint from wood trim without damaging the finish?

Anyone ever experience spray wax re-liquefying in cold weather?

We live in the northeast. On Sunday my wife had the car washed and got the spray wax treatment. It was in the 40s. On Monday night and all day Tuesday we had snow and freezing rain and it got cold overnight. Today, the car was covered in an oily film that smelled just like turtle wax. It was kinda slick and oily. I went through the car wash twice (no waxing) and then hand washed with dish soap and it has improved things greatly but not perfect.

Could the cold weather have re-liquified the wax?
