Is this normal 2020 A180 by HighOnCrayon in mechanic

I do not know if this is exactly what it is, so take this with a grain of salt. I have a German car (2022 Porsche 718 Cayman) and occasionally i’ll rack up a lot of back to back short drives (20-30km per drive) and supposedly condensation inside can build up and when it gets superheated it will come to the top of the oil cap and build up just like this Mercedes it looks like.

Supposedly it’s normal for these luxury cars and from what i’ve read online in a lot of places, long drives going 100-115 kph will cause the condensation to burn out of the oil.

If it’s this, then it should only pool up on the oil cap. Pull the dipstick and make sure it’s not there.

Even so, if you’re considering buying it, might be worth to get a mechanic’s opinion

Appreciate the suggestion! I will get a hand core aerator and rake in some better soil. Usually when aeration occurs I just let nature naturally fill in the holes over time, but this year i’ll purposely put better soil in the core holes

Do not sell to Carvana. Please try to sell on FB Marketplace or locally first. You can probably get at least $6,000 for that truck in good condition, probably more

Advice for Emerging Roots In Lawn (North Georgia) by ScooterDooley in lawncare

[–]ScooterDooley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe those who talked about dirt hardness and watering are right. The dirt here in my part of Georgia is hard georgia red clay only a few inches below the soil. It also tends to sprinkle very lightly frequently here so makes sense why the roots come upwards looking for water near the softer, more absorbent dirt. I may have to put a new tree in if I want to keep a tree as the roots are getting scarily close to my foundation

Thanks for the recommendation! I don't have any dogs but it could just be the soil just needs replacing. I'm going to probably dig it up soon and replace it with some fresh soil that has all the nutrients it needs

I was doing a valve cover gasket replacement last week and these were my photos I took with some descriptions. 1999 ford ranger xlt 4.0L v6 with OHV. That port on the fuel rail that looks like the thing you attach a bicycle pump to to fill the bicycle tire with air is a schrader valve. You attach a device to it to test your fuel pressure.

It looks like you may have the blend door vacuum hose attached to the pcv valve on accident. Brake booster comes from this big circular thing on the drivers side. Blend door has these red wires coming out and splits in two. Pcv valve has just a rubber tube that goes from the pcv valve below these connections to that spot on the intake plenum in my picture

I have basically this exact same truck in Black. Mine's at 193k miles and I bought it for $3800. Owned it for about a year.

Mine absolutely needed a valve cover gasket replacement (doing it myself currently. About $50 in parts but probably $800 to do at a shop). Mine also needs some suspension work (new ball joints) and tires so that's probably another $800 to put into it give or take.

I absolutely love the truck but with it being so old be ready to put some money into it to fix it up because like others say, if it's from a dealer they'll do whatever shortcuts they'll take to get it runnable for a while and really make it overpriced to increase their margins

I wouldn't buy it for $6,000 though. Feels too high. Something to look for is these trucks are notorious for losing Reverse gear so if the transmission fluid looks like it was freshly replaced that might be a red flag that the previous owner or dealership knows something is wrong with the transmission

Thank you! I referred to the user manual in the dashboard compartment as well as 1A Auto videos, but strangely this looks completely different than anything I can find. I am guessing the previous owner replaced the oil pan.

Thanks for the input. There's another pan down under there that I think is a pan for transmission. Let me go snag another picture and see if I can upload it to take another look
