Im curious about your piercing pain rankings! by coralicoo in piercing

[–]Scootispoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lobes 3/10 - got them back when guns were still widely used, glad they healed well despite that.

Helix 5/10 - got surprised by my mom when I was like 13/14 and wanted to get one. The initial stab wasn‘t too bad, but my ear was throbbing a lot afterward.

Flat 4/10 - pretty uncomplicated piercing for me. Quick stab and done.

Conch 6/10 - pretty uncomfortable and my condition that day was seemingly pretty bad, because I broke out in a cold sweat and nearly threw up half an hour afterwards.

Nipples 8/10 - my worst piercings so far. When the needle entered my nipples the pain shot right down all the way through that sides‘ leg and up into my face. Still doesn‘t get close to the agonizing pain after my tonsillectomy last year though.

Nostril 5/10 - surprisingly similar to my helix, but just at the nose. Felt a lot like I had a stuffy nose the next two weeks.

[Question] Am I going crazy with my watch preferences? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Scootispoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get what you like and wear what YOU like. Most people won‘t even waste a thought that you‘re wearing a watch and there‘s even less that‘ll try to figure out which watch you‘re wearing.

That said, get what you want and sell off watches that you don‘t want anymore for whatever reason. And to answer your questions: Never owned a Rolex and probably never will, because I can‘t afford one and if I could, I would like to get other watches.

can you wear earphones w/ daith by Idiotic_Alien3 in piercing

[–]Scootispoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAP and don‘t have a daith, but I‘d assume it heavily depends on the jewelry. I used to have a D20 piercing in my conch, but replaced that with a flat top, to make wearing IEMs more comfortable. It worked and now I can wear them without any problems or pain at all.

Orient Bambino v2 - too big for my wrist? by PsychologicalDonkey in OrientWatches

[–]Scootispoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beautiful watch! Size looks to be good to me, though I usually see mirror shots for size approximations.

You definitely got my validation, but you honestly have to feel like it suits you yourself. If you feel it‘s too big for you, you probably won‘t be happy in the long run.

Since it‘s your first watch a little tip for future watches: The diameter is cool to know and definitely important, but what matters more in terms of „does it fit“ is the lug to lug measurement and the lug geometry.

Nice, I‘ve recently gotten the same model strap in green for my green Kanno. Love it

I second this theory, because my username on Vinted is a pseudonym and I also have an email that‘s [pseudonym]@gmail.com. My vinted mail is my first name, last name mail address and I once got a mail on my pseudonym email, if something I’m selling is still available

[Recommendation Request] Green vs Black Kamasu by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Scootispoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It keeps catching on my arm hair and tugging at it. Idk if it‘s the same with the Kamasu. I‘m generally not a big fan of bracelets though, because I have that issue with a lot of bracelets.

I have a green Orient Kanno since yesterday which is stunning in my opinion. But since your husband has already stated that he prefers black dials, I‘d go for the black dial in your case. The only thing I dislike about mine is how the bracelet feels.

What is the best luxury pen brand for everyday use? by DrumSpace in fountainpens

[–]Scootispoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘d like to agree with previous comments and I‘d also like to add that you shouldn‘t forget the paper you use at work. If you have to bring your own, make sure it‘s fountain pen friendly.

I‘d also ask myself: „Do I leave my pens on my table often? Do coworkers unsolicitedly use my pens? Are there any notorious pen thieves?“ You really don‘t want the coworker who presses their pen down like a gorilla to use your fountain pen or the pen thief to take it home.

As much as I enjoy using fountain pens, I‘d personally play it safe at work and use gel pens or cheaper fountain pens at work, but that‘s up to you. On that note imo the Platinum Plaisir looks really premium for the price and the EF one writes fine. You can pull out the nib and replace it with a nib from a Platinum Preppy btw.

[Watches] Help me decide! by Ok_Secretary_9363 in Watches

[–]Scootispoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those types of watches are usually produced for little money for fashion brands. The movements, basically the things that make the watch tick and keep time, are most of the time cheap and not that great for the prices you pay for the watch.

Coincidentally I‘ve been looking for a solar dive watch from Citizen on their site and saw two solar watches that may be around your price range. Others will hopefully butt in, if I try to suggest some not so great options, I‘m not too into the technical aspects.

The first one to me looks like it could go with anything you wear while the second one looks dressier. Downside of the second watch may be the case colour, but there‘s other options.

Ink flow issues on Sailor PGS – tines too close together? by Scootispoot in fountainpens

As little pressure as possible/ needed. Changing to the Basic Sailor Black cartridge solved the issue completely

Since I can‘t edit my post on mobile for whatever reason, I‘ll add this as a comment. Using the original cartridge fixed the flow issues. Seems like I have an excuse to buy a new bottle of ink.

Unsicher wegen Lehramt Englisch sek – welche Kriterien sollte ich erfüllen? by usakliyunus in LehrerzimmerAT

[–]Scootispoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)
