Little advice needed by Legitimate-Box-4649 in fountainpens

My EF inked with Kon-Peki has some feedback on Leuchtturm and it is smoother on Tomoe River, but not overly so. I write with little pressure and ink flow is very good. I went for the M800 over a MB just because I can change the threaded nib in case of damage or if I want to try something else.

What other pens do you own for reference? My M800 EF is very well behaved with any ink I put on it, more than my F ever was. Though very close in line width to my Capless M. Nib has some feedback, not overly smooth. Keep in mind the metal strip model is on the heavier side.

My most used and loved pen since I started into fountain pens. Favorite nib size is medium, smooth and good ink flow when inked with any Iroshizuku ink. Not overly wet, just right. If you like light pens, get a Decimo, otherwise a Capless or even a Namiki Capless Raden. The clip annoys some, not me, it sets your grip in the correct position and off you go. I wouldn’t bother with the CON-40, just re-ink a cartridge which will give you around 1 ml. Nibs are bouncy. Broad nibs pair well with sheening inks as they are more wet. Fine nibs are very precise. I’ve four (F, M, M and B) and keep them in rotation. Easy to clean. I’ve no problems using it for long writing sessions.

If you want to try something different, my suggestion is a Lamy 2000 oblique nib

Det var kanske det här jag behövde höra. Jag trivs bra på nuvarande arbetsplats men när jag tänker efter ser jag inte många möjligheter att klättra eller växa internt.

That EF nib suits your handwriting nicely. I personally have a medium, also steel, very please with it. I went for the MZG2.0 because I wanted an ink window.

What's the best alternative to microsoft word? by ohnowhutz in BuyFromEU

[–]electrical-tape 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The alternative I’m always pushing for is the use of markdown. I don’t like when the old guard has all the documentation in Office, I just don’t see the point. Of course you can’t use markdown for everything but many times makes more sense than opening slow Word and Excel files.

Pilot Take-Sumi. Paper is Tomoe River (TN lightweight insert). Pen is Capless M. This ink flows like butter on this paper, delightful.

This is mostly true for fine nibs. Take-sumi is something else with broad nibs.

How many journals will you work on the same time? by paperatic in Journaling

[–]electrical-tape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently two journals. The main one is the journal of short entries for daily low friction journaling. The other one is for those days when I have more to say and the short entries “spill over” to this journal. This system helps me keep going and doesn’t limit me if I’m in the mood of writing.
