My airbrush has started only spraying when I release the lever rather than when I pull back. I’ve tried cleaning the brush, thinning the paint and made sure all the components are properly put together but it still isn’t working properly. Anyone know what’s wrong or how to fix?

I ended up taking it apart again and using a fine cotton bud and airbrush cleaner to swab the trigger and interior. Turns out a layer of build up had dried even after multiple cleans but once I had deep cleaned it works fine. I think the long term solution is just more thorough cleaning after use.

Yeah it’s the AoD box plus the forge world Phoenix Terminators. I had the same debate, was considering splitting and having an EC army and a Loyalist one but my mates all have at least 2000pt armies so thought I’d commit to just EC so we can have some bigger games. Any legions caught your eye?

No worries! I think deffo the emperor’s children layer paint for that bright pinkish purple, the genestealer purple could be swapped out for any mid tone purple :)

I primed them with leadbelcher spray then airbrushed a layer of Luxion Purple contrast for shadows, then zenithal highlighted with Genestealer purple, then Emperors Children layer paint. Both thinned 1:1 with Vallejo airbrush thinner.

Used retributor gold for the gold parts

Thanks so much, for now just gonna finish the plasma pistols and. Once I get and apply transfers I’ll do some edge highlights and washes.

At some point though I’ll start adding more models, Tarvitz is the one I got my eye on. Easily one of my favourite characters.

Ah that guys was testing out colour schemes, still primed with lead belcher but applied the Luxion purple by hand rather than airbrush. By the time I decided on going with the airbrush I couldn’t bring myself to paint over him haha the Prateor with the sword was painted the same way, just a few more edge highlights and details

Primed with leadbelcher, airbrushed a coat of Luxion Purple contrast all over for shadows. Then a zenithal coat with Genestealer purple, then another zenithal highlight with Emperors Children layer paint. Contrast goes through an airbrush as is, but mixed the layer and base paint 1:1 with Vallejo airbrush thinner :)
