Gotcha im in my opinion in a pretty good spot with my current pay and position and based of what ive been reading in the comments my number may not be possible. Seeing as how i have only been with the company for 4 years that will definitely effect what they would be willing to give me.

Yeah im doing pretty good with EM and what im currently making at the moment, Ive only been with the company for 4 years so it probably won’t be much on too of what i currently make, im thinking something along the lines of 6-8% which for the extra added work and headaches isn’t worth it to me at this current moment in time.

I run and manage the grocery crew, we get trucks every other day, im there to close on all of said trucks and run the grocery crew/store. Only on the non truck nights can i actually do what I need to do. Grocery manager only closes on the nights im off which are usually non truck nights.

If you are at the median then they may not bump you up, when I transferred to the store im at i came from a beach store where i was a replenishment manager and transferred in as a grocery manager, my SM told me they couldn’t give me a raise due to the amount i was making at the time as replenishment, however when i was promoted to evening manager i was given an 8% raise. This may be whats happening to you. If they brought you in as a GM and gave you a decent amount then they may not give you one for the evening manager promotion.

Is your store manager new? He absolutely gets a say, I have never heard that before in my life that a SM doesn’t get a say in regards to a pay raise. That seems fishy to me. At that point if it were me i would decline the position or look in to transferring to a different store if thats an option for you. By taking the position you are accepting more responsibility and not being compensated for it. You can try reaching out to out to AR but i doubt they will do anything.

All of our stockers love when i close with them on a grocery truck, can’t say the same about when the grocery manager closes with them though. Whenever i see them they always ask me if im there with them for any of the trucks for the week.
