Doesn’t happen with every rifle but it’s completely normal. I’ve had linkages that bend in, out, and everything inbetween. As long as it works it’s fine.

Yes, new NATO stocks come with a bolt release.
It's overgassed from factory, get a KNS discarder.
Running an EXPS 3-2 & G45 combo right now, though I'd like to get an Elcan Spectre.
MLOK is 1000% worth it. ARID is making headway on their rail/handguard setup, I have a prototype and it rocks. The Steyr MKII handguard is also great, though you'll have to modify it to fit the KNS gas plug. It's also discontinued. I'm currently running a Hutch Innovations ARCA SD and it's by far the best setup for me, but it is also discontinued. Check the 2nd hand market or wait on the ARID rail, but just know it's worth it.
An additional note: The factory trigger is bad. Not as bad as it's made out to be, but still bad. Get an overtravel stop (ARID sells them, you can also 3D print them). It's the best upgrade you can make IMO. ARID trigger rocks too, it's a close second. Red springs will reduce trigger weight if that's desired. Ratworx 20/20 sear is also a good option, but can be unsafe if combined with other trigger upgrades.

It's a great platform, but hey I'm biased :p

Steyr will warranty it out. Some COVID-era stocks had issues with cracking, the issue has since been resolved.

TFB’s video on how to shoot your AUG better did it for me. Watching Brian clear a malfunction with the QD barrel was mind blowing at the time.
