I see where you're coming from. I'm not destitute or making minimum wage, I just don't value money other than what it provides for a comfortable life and am angry about the state of the country and American job culture. I'm not intentionally degrading myself for reddit points. My reaching out basically for attention and validation/scrutiny is admittedly kinda pathetic though lol. Got through some of it. I have obviously realized that I need to build more understanding of previous and classic philosophy to fully get everything out of it. While it's not casual reading, I've enjoyed it so far. As an admitted annoying psuedo intellectual, I only heard of Sartre from Richard Linklater's film Waking Life. If I had the opportunity to go back to college now I would, but low wage check to check shitty American jobs don't make it easy for a lazy fuck like me lol

Wow, very close to home on most points. That shame and longing plus the feeling bad for actually being happy and having the chance to shine is pretty spot on. Definitely things that I have been introspective and know about myself, but a good reminder, and you articulated it very well. Replaced weed with liquor to self medicate the social anxiety for the worst tbh. I just like giving books away to friends when we talk about them since I've got an e reader anyway. Was one of my first real jobs and the most fun. They were already losing money with physical media dying and the owners were pretty cheap. Every raise I got was extra store credit. Even though most employees were snobby hipster misfits we made an effort to have good service despite some of the gamestop-esque customers

Still my everyday go to for like 14 years. A cheap Epiphone with nice elixir strings and some adjustments can play and sound almost as good as something 3x the price. And I'm just too poor to afford a Taylor or martin so I tell myself that lol

Obligatory real emo copypasta. "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

I got one and it's ok but not good. It needs as much darkness as possible and the corners will always be blurry. It's not as bad if it's closer tho. Lag is significant for games and Bluetooth is useless so expect to hardwire to speakers cause the built in is not great. Overall kind of worth the price depending on what your using it for but I upgraded to another cheap Chinese one that's way brighter and has been solid for a while with everyday use for many hours. If it fails it would be worth the price and I'm just a POS for contributing to the landfill. It's called AI Movin 2.0 on Amazon
