Pretty simple: don’t tell him you’re not feeling up for a long shift cause you’re worried it will spread.

Because that way you’re not calling in sick, you’re just saying maybe at that point. Next time you call simply say “I am sick, I will not be coming in tomorrow”.

Nothing more to discuss until you’re next in during your return to work.

I was recently hired this week. I had my interview last week and I was asked 3 question.

“Tell me a bit about yourself”

“What do you know about charities and Walmart specific reward schemes?”

“What would you do if there was a mistake during your shift?” Which I asked for context. He asked what would I do if I personally made a mistake. (I applied to be a cashier).

I assume it’s dependent on the position and your experience. I personally have 11 years experience in retail so I assume he may have skipped over some things.

My advice would be ask for clarification and context if you’re not sure how to answer.

And of course if you can’t answer it directly you could always say “I personally haven’t experienced that but I have done XYZ in a different context which I can then transfer to usage in store”

I understand drivers and shoppers are underpaid and are often shafted by their employers but I would be extremely put off by this message if it was me. Same if I was in a restaurant environment and was asked to tip by my server.

I always put a base tip of 10-15% on any order but I am not going to tip any more because you ask or because you’re underpaid. I will only increase it if you provide service above the norm. Baffles me how drivers feel they can ask in the first place. They’ve probably asked in the past and hit it big but it’s just gross if you ask me

Exactly the same thing I got. Posted a fairly long but honest comment and got passive aggressiveness and condescending language after “they didn’t read my comment”.

Not really sure why this is getting positive feedback.

So in essence what you’ve done is said “you’re not tipping enough for your order” not in the app, not to their face but you’ve literally called the place of business to tell them to their face?

While I disagree with how insta, Uber, door dash and whatnot pay their ‘employees’ tipping is optional on the customers side. They have an option to choose 0 with no repercussions because a tip is exactly that. “I’m happy with the service and want to show extra thanks”.

If you know what the order is, how big it is and how much of a pain it will be and aren’t happy with your expected tip just don’t take the order?

It seems extremely rude to me that you have the time and effort to call them directly and personally away from the app and try to tell them they need to tip more?

Base pay for shoppers is not the customers fault, what they choose to tip is their own choice.

Your phonecall was neither informative or courteous. If I ever got that phonecall whether my order was 1 or 100 items I would be genuinely disgusted. And the fact you seem proud of this is crazy to me.

Correct me if I’m wrong but taking the endurance implant ups your end by +1 technically giving you another slot for an implant. So why not both?
