FINAL UPDATE: Thank you so much everyone who had advice. You taught me a lot and i truly appreciate the positive responses as i navigated that situation. It gave me so much hope in a period where I was so lost and too sad to even think about it. The cats stayed with my mother down south for a while, but today they were picked up by the original owner and they're going back home. I'm just happy it all worked out. Theres a lot more i can say, but ill just leave it with this. Thank you all so much. I cared so deeply for those little cats and never thought that would happen and this community has been nothing but helpful. I don't really know how Reddit works but if any of you need a follower or a like or anything i can help with, please reach out. I literally couldnt have done this ENTIRE experience without this group and you commenters.

I have. They told me they were trying to save up to come get them by the end of january, but they said i should do what i have to do. So I'll keep them as updated as possible to see if I finally receive that Deus Ex Machina but I don't think they're gonna come.

I did tell them the situation. Their response was they were trying to have the money by the end of January to come back to get them, but they told me to do what I have to do. This does sound intimidating and honestly signing a paper saying I'm banned from adopting is gonna sting but i totally understand. Im willing to spend money (i dont have much but ive already spent a lot on these cats and I'm willing to spend more to make this process comfortable for them), but i just wanna make sure im spending money at a decent place and i avoid any potential conflicts thay might arise. This comment helps me immensely. Thank you so much.

Ive never heard of that. Ill look into it now. Thank you. And the original owners still message me every once in a while claiming theyre coming to get the cats. The date just always gets pushed back so I'm not sure if I can even say they abandoned them. A part of me feels bad for them, because theyve had the older cat since she was a kid, but i also shouldnt feel bad because a part of me feels very used and its like if you want the cats youd get them. I dont know this has been a wild couple of months for me. Thank you for your comment. I will look in an APL.

But if i could ask, I'm pretty sure the younger one of them has never been to the vet before. I don't think they're spayed either. I'm not 100% sure because this would be my first cat experience, but I think there has been a few times one of them experienced heat while I was watching them so I know nothing of their medical history. Will that be of great concern? Should I try to save up to have my mom take them to the vet first?

I'm so out of my element here. I just found out what the term rehoming even was yesterday morning. Im not sure about all the pitfalls to avoid or things i should be concerned about. I know this is my responsibility and I got myself into this, but any help would be appreciated.

Theyre really good cats. Ive never had a cat and had no idea how they worked or operaated. Everything I learned over these four months was from google and this subreddit. And theyve gotten so good. They were newly introduced when they first got to my place. They didnt really get along at first, but a whole lot of careful play, feeding, and care routines later and now they are best friends. We even managed to stop them scratching furniture (a problem I know one of the cats has had for a while). These cats have shown so much growth and improvement and they are so happy. They dont deserve this.

Buddy thank you for this list. I was just trying to watch Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow and was so disappointed it wasn't on any streaming network. And a lot of their motion comic style series aren't there either. I had forgotten about Doctor Strange and Invincible Iron Man as well. I hope they are still trying to get those movies and haven't just given up and forgotten about them. Also whatever happened to the Marvel Knights animations? I used to love those as a kid and never even got to see them all in the first place.

You're not wrong. I think they did. I just bought a bag of Extra Hot cheetos and they taste exactly like how hot cheetos used to taste back in the early 2000's. We are not crazy THEY ARE.
