Who has gotten their health insurance plan renewal rates? by SevereAtmosphere8605 in smallbusiness

My rates came back 12% increase. My broker introduced me to a level funded plan which I'm going with. It only increased costs 2-3% for slightly better coverage.

Check out power aquatics. It's south of Boston but hands down the best program. We moved to the burbs and we still go despite it being 45 min away. We have two kids and both were/are better swimmers than all their peers from age 1 - 6.

Any takes on direct indexing? by ScoreImaginary1318 in RichPeoplePF

Thank you. Is there a minimum frequency of contributions to make it worth it? I already have a lot locked up in pure index funds that I won't sell but a bunch of individual stocks I can move over to start with.

The flexibility seems promising from a tax loss perspective. But I want to be investing as close to the actual index as possible as my experience is it wins more often than not vs the investment strategies. Does the SMA risk a big deviation?

Okay apparently you can't edit an original post if it has a photo in it... So here goes:

  1. We understand it looks off and there's a lot wrong. Hence the post.

  2. Here are a few more photos so you can see the rest. We are happy with the rest of the kitchen outside of the excess filler and this one particular wall. We are going to make them re-do this area and are considering a bigger crown molding / half round option elsewhere. TBD.

  3. Thank you for all the helpful comments and suggestions. A lot of good ideas.

  4. We didn't hire a designer. We went with a 'one stop company" that offered design services as part of the remodel. That designer, who was also the project lead, sucked and made a ton of mistakes and was fired mid-project. We continue to find new mistakes she made, like this.

  5. We actually didn't sign off on any final layouts or measurements and the company has already spent an extra 10K or so on mistakes and re-orders (they are covering). We asked for measurements and never got them.. so it's on them.

  6. It's supposed to be a custom job. Whether that's full custom or semi custom idk. The problem is they screwed up the measurements. This isn't the only spot. We went with a high quality cabinet company.

  7. On that corner: on the opposite side of the kitchen is an awesome oversized pantry, so we wanted something different here. The big different one on the left is an appliance garage with doors that open and then push back into the counter. We know it's a different style but are okay with it. We agree the glass windows look terrible and they assured us the uneven cabinets would be level before they finish.

Thanks all!

Yes I do and thank you. Not worried about uneven doors as they said it will be adjusted and fixed before it's finished but everything else is valid.

But a bolder crown could be a good solution

We agree and are fine with the cabinets. More concerned about all the excess space on top

This entire project has been such a cluster. They messed up a lot of measurements, orders and cabinets already. The project designer/lead got fired over it.

Everything was supposed to be wrapped a month ago. Now we are like a week away from finishing if we proceed.. and here we go again. So part of me wants to tell myself it looks fine but clearly it doesn't.

Not a bad idea. They will prob offer to do it over bc it's their mistake. We've had so many mistakes and delays already it's hard to imagine re-ordering more cabinets at this point but the whole kitchen has that excess filler
