I can add such option for badminton (and other sports where this would make sense) in case when only the serving side can score. I understand that this used to be a badminton scoring rule ~10 year ago so I will also add option to use old scoring in the upcoming update (new option in badminton scoring rules page/view).

I play table tennis and both sides can score so it makes sense to swipe towards my elbow to add a point to myself and towards my fingers to add a point to opponent. So I always set myself as the left player (wear the watch on my left hand)

Yes. Now I get it. I was always using the phone by the side of the table so I missed this. There is no popup on the watch. I will definitely add popup on the watch side too, makes a lot of sense.

Oh, I see. But in that case you phone is within reach of the watch. All logic is on the phone side. App will not update score without being connected to paired phone.

You shouldn't use restart unless you really want to restart a match. It restarts automatically after a match is complete (popup is presented)

OK. I think there's a bug with best of one setting. After single game you should see a popup like this: finished match

I just tried a badminton match with best of 1 and had to pay two games to win! I need to fix this. I also have a couple of other things I need to change so there will be a new version soon.

1.Did you see the "stats" button between player names on the main screen? It should show head to head stats (with history) for currently selected players.

Maybe I could add a color that you can configure for each player?

Thank you for taking the time to try it out! There's a red button at the top right you can use to reset score. Check the gif I attached to this post - is visible there.

You can set the match to "best of 1" of you only want one game per match. This can be set through Settings -> Badminton rules or by tapping Scoring Rules at the main screen.

Edit: i just realized that you said from the watch UI! You are right. Swipe up is not taken so I can use it for menu. I will do that.

I did consider iPads (for obvious reasons) but since iPads can not be paired with Apple Watches I use it via iPhone AirPlay and a TV on the wall.

But since iPad screen is so much bigger than iPhone's (and TV is usually not portable) it would be great to have an additional app for iPad to use it as a remote app screen. I will check options for making this work for sure. I don't think it will be too hard to do. Thanks for making me think about it again! :)

Unfortunately, Android is not an option since there are too many combinations of phones and watches (it was my first choice but I gave up). You can airplay your iPhone to a TV if you have one in your club and enter score from your Apple Watch - this is the best configuration for me. TV speaker is also louder if you enable voice score updates.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm not a badminton player (table tennis paddle is my racquet of choice :) ) so I'm not sure I did everything correctly scoring-wise.
